About this listen

In the early days of 1924, Mary Russell and her husband, the inimitable Sherlock Holmes, are given an urgent task by his brother, Mycroft: find a British spy gone missing along India's northwest frontier, where men are dying and trouble is brewing. The spy's name? It is one Holmes knows from his sojourn in India long ago, and one Russell knows from a book. It is Kimball O'Hara, known to the world by the name Rudyard Kipling called him - Kim....

Coherent rendering of adventure and geography, with the addition of a favourite story of India.

Clearly describing history and legend.

The last few books in the series have been amongst my favourites so far.

I also love listening to this narrator; she does an excellent job and I am so pleased she has done the whole series. The voice acting is excellent.

Very enjoyable

Always disappointed when King strays from mystery and focuses on the scenery, customs and cultures rather than the mystery element. Well written but not particularly riveting!
