hit the friendship to lovers trope with this fun low angst story. the main character has a tendency to get in his head too much and take everything the worst way possible...but it creates some interesting situations.

the narrator is very good at creating different voices for the characters. I some times forgot it was one person narrating.

This was a really short and sweet friends to lovers. The boys are super cute together, the way their relationship progressed, the reasons they werent together/out/etc. were realistic, didnt drag, and were dealt with by the characters so so well. There were multiple moments where I thought we were getting the contrived "breakup" moment but the characters stayed true to their characterisations as intelligent, socially forward, good communicators who loved eachother and I was pleasantly surprised each time that they just got through it together. Fantastic.
