Left satisfied yet looking 4 the next installment
Kate builds and weaves more magic in each book, yet nothing seems over the top and impossible. It is seamlessly written and narrated so that this world and its characters feel so real as if Kate has plucked them from history. Start from the beginning, get book 1 and venture into a world of myth and legend made real... then you will have to listen or read or both, all 6 books in their entirety.

A Must Read.
I have read the paperback version of this book more times than I can count and I have loved this series since I first discovered it. I was so excited to see it is finally coming out on audible. The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life and speaking in a clear voice. Although the accent is heavy, it is easily understood and really brings the characters different personalities to life. The voices used make it extremely easy to differentiate between each character. I highly recommend this book. If you love a story of magic and sci fi filled with great accents and a gripping story then this series is for you.

So better than expected.
I didn’t really want a story about Finn as i prefer the Twins, but it was a wonderful conclusion for many of the retinue who gave so much. The narration as always was beautiful and clear with such a range of voices from one person. I am ready for the next story.

Good but the others were better
I have listened to all the books up to this one. This one was not my favorite. I still am interested in the story but this one kind of drags a bit. I think I am more interested in the other characters rather than the ones that are the main focus in this book. The one thing I could definitely do without is the singing. It’s unnecessary and kind of annoying. I am not sure why it was added but for me, it does nothing to enhance the story. I had to skip through a lot. I feel it would have been better if it was left out. The series if interesting and keeps you wanting to know what happens in the next book.

Nice diversion that keeps the story moving
This was a fun diversion allowing some of the minor characters of previous books to take center stage as the overall plot moved forward. I did miss hearing from some of the more central characters, but not so much that it detracted from enjoying the story. I would have given it 5 stars except that this book, like the previous couple, gets bogged down in places by battles and armed conflict. Not that it’s badly written—I’m just not interested in it. The narration was excellent, as in the whole series thus far.
