Critic Reviews
"Jordan deftly weaves details from previous books into this narrative." (Publishers Weekly)
"Fires of Heaven upholds the very high standards of this major fantasy epic, with battle scenes, comic interludes, and character development all reaching perhaps the highest point in a work that has lacked for none of these." (Booklist)
"Jordan's epic saga of a world threatened by evil incarnate builds steadily as separate strands of a complex plot begin to come together. Fans of this richly detailed and vividly imagined series will not be disappointed." (Library Journal)

Excellent! Except.......
Loved the narration, as always it has been on point.
But I'll be damned, getting tired and over the female character developments, or therefore lack of. I'm struggling to understand that although the fate of the world is at stake, some of the female characters are so stubborn and insisting of doing things their way that it hinders their journey considerably. They then do not learn from it even after experiencing some difficulties as a direct consequence of being stubborn and believing that a man's way is foolish, rather than collaborating together to find the best way forward. Other than that, it's still a remarkably good listen

Detail detail detail!
Some times the amount of detail is frustrating because you want to get on with the story, but it does paint a very detailed picture in one’s mind!

A huge improvement from book 4!
As someone who found the previous book 4 a long and tedious read, book 5 returns to progressing the story and makes an interesting read!

much better. I was ready to give it up but...
much better than the last. worth moving onto the next. I am surprised as the writing style seems to have changed, almost faster or more directional rather than the circles of before

Another nail-biting installment
I think this might be one of my favourite fantasy series yet, and one in which each book is just as good if not better than the previous.
The story is starting to get more complex with more characters added, but it's easy to follow and we don't hear from everyone in this book (e.g. nothing from Perrin's perspective). Lots of character growth, though still plenty of moments to be frustrated at them. Yet, I think that is one of the most charming aspects of this series - no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes.

Great characters and story, however...
Such a great story with so many things happening and I really want to know whats happening next. Though the female characters are nearly always complaining and whining that it's hard to like any of them and found myself getting frustrated because of it. Was read very well as usual and despite my negative points, I'm listening to the next one.
