About this listen

Some things shouldn't be seen....

Cherokee Pointe, Tennessee. Deep in the Smoky Mountains, the victim lies, sacrificed on a makeshift altar - the gruesome work of a killer who has evaded the authorities in state after state. FBI agent Dallas Sloan knows the scene all too well - just as he knows the killings won't stop until there are four more bodies.

Some warnings won't be heeded....

Genny Madoc's "sixth sense" has brought many of Cherokee Pointe's residents to her isolated log cabin, looking for help. But now it's Genny who needs help from the disturbing visions she sees - images that are getting stronger and more violent day by day.

Some fears can't be stopped....

Thrown together by necessity, drawn to each other by desire, Dallas and Genny must band together, searching the darkest heart of a town's hidden secrets before a twisted killer can complete a sinister plan that will make one of them the fifth victim.

a great listen & story.
To me one of the best intriguing books I've heard.

intriguing story

This was genuinely bad. At one point the author refering to a curvaceous woman writes "she was built quite literally like a brick shithouse" I don't know where the author picked that up but she should have sought clarification before using it.

The antagonist loses any sense of foreboding and is more humorous than anything approximately halfway through. Characters are born with the concept that they might hold plot relevance only to never be seen again.

Stuck it out to the end hoping for a big reveal but it dragged across the finish line sounding just as bored with itself as I was.

Pick anything else.

Not good.

Thought it might get better but the ridiculous language used regarding sexual reference was cringe worthy.

Couldn't keep listening

narrator was great but the story was dubious, characters are very romance novel cookie cutter versions, but this book will have it's audience, its more romance than crime drama... the two don't really work together.. I finished it but it did not leave me wanting more...

not great not awful

I didn't like the male main character and his macho chauvinistic attitude. Surprised female writers still create these arrogant "hero" male leads.
Repetative unneccessary details, and the constant (often awkward) description of the female character's bodies is cringe-worthy.

Yawn... Keep scrolling

A weak story voice was hard to listen to
Too much irrelevant sexual activity that didn’t add to the plot
May appeal to some

Sorry I paid for this
