Publisher's Summary

In the beginning....

Three brothers - Gabriel, Michael, and Lucifer. Royalty. Archangels. United in devotion to their father and all his works.

But when Lucifer learns of their father’s latest creation - a new race, fashioned from crude matter and yet made in his image - he is consumed with resentment. Why have he and his angelic kind been overlooked?

After a bitter confrontation, Lucifer is cast out, doomed to an eternity of exile and punishment.

Unrepentant, he vows he won’t suffer alone. Mankind has made a powerful enemy - one determined to lure it into darkness and torment any way he can....

Magnificent

The story itself is so engaging. Found myself lost in imagination numerous times. Truly a magnificent journey from a more 'spiritual' point of view. Absolutely loved it. The voice acting to this is also insane. Each character truly given thier own unique flavour. I'm not one for spoilers so how about just get it!

Love the plot, and the author, but way too flowery

Struggled to finish because of the over done description. I love the author, but this needs to be edited down for more simplicity in describing setting and character appearances. Granted she's describing Heaven, but the over use of the same terms was extremely distracting and got annoying.

Awesome

I read the book first but the story comes alive when you can hear it and visualize it. Very informative and a good read for Christian scholars. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants answers about the fall.

Very interesting subject matter 😎

It's cool to see a take on this topic. And see how it's woven into the Bible. At times, it was hard to follow the story though because of the time jumps in the story. And with different characters... the voice work needs more distinction. But it's worth a read. I plan to read the next book in the series.

written like a Danielle Steel novel.

really wanted to like this book, but it was a struggle to get through. it was a good idea for a story, but fails due to the boring plot, bland generic characters, poor research and overuse of the words balmy and bareback.poorly written and executed.

Theology? No, not really.

An interesting premise and back story on the fall of Lucifer, As long as you look at it as a work of fiction and not much more. It's kinda like the show Supernatural, while there may be Biblical references, it relys more on myth and lore than it does on actual theology. So, take it with a huge grain of salt. There is a lot kf responsibility put onto the angels, whereas God just kind of seems to be in the background somewhere. The Narrator did a good job, was easy to listen to, but sweet mercy, if you don't like over flowery descriptions this book is not for you. The author loves to describe in lengthy detail how each individual character looks everytime they show up. Its gets to be a bit much near the end. Still deciding on if I want to give the the second book a listen or not.

A divinely good listen!

I loved this this from the first time I laid hands on the paperback. The story is the perfect marriage of science, spirituality, religion and it reads like a graphic novel. Might I also add, The Fall of Lucifer has been narrated perfectly!

Outstanding performance

The narrator really made this story come to life. As to the story itself, it was an interesting take on the scriptures. Well written. Perhaps an overabundance of testosterone since there wasn't even ONE female character (aside from Eve, Mary and a Jordanian princess, the latter speaking more than three lines of dialogue, which is more than I can say for the other 2 female characters).

Demonically dreadful

How difficult could it be to screw up a rewrite of John Milton's epic poem 'Paradise Lost'? In the case of 'The Fall of Lucifer' it appears to be very easily done. Not only is the narrative irritating in the extreme with 2 dimensional characters and laughable dialogue (think 'The book of mormon') but the writing itself is just grotesque.I listened in a state of appalled bemusement at the use of the same adjectives being used with embarrassing frequency. If this were fan fiction it would just be silly. In this case I find the entire book utterly offensive to literature. Suddenly E.L James doesn't seem so awful. Oh, and for some reason the narrator's voice is doubled throughout as though a choir of Cherubim were chanting this god awful book in unison. There is a special circle in hell reserved for the publisher of this terrible and silly tale.
