Publisher's Summary

In the beginning....

Three brothers - Gabriel, Michael, and Lucifer. Royalty. Archangels. United in devotion to their father and all his works.

But when Lucifer learns of their father’s latest creation - a new race, fashioned from crude matter and yet made in his image - he is consumed with resentment. Why have he and his angelic kind been overlooked?

After a bitter confrontation, Lucifer is cast out, doomed to an eternity of exile and punishment.

Unrepentant, he vows he won’t suffer alone. Mankind has made a powerful enemy - one determined to lure it into darkness and torment any way he can....

Such an interesting book. Well written and wasn't boring at all. Many concepts in the story that I hadn't considered. look forward to the next book in the series.

Awesome

I read the book first but the story comes alive when you can hear it and visualize it. Very informative and a good read for Christian scholars. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants answers about the fall.

Very interesting subject matter 😎

It's cool to see a take on this topic. And see how it's woven into the Bible.

At times, it was hard to follow the story though because of the time jumps in the story. And with different characters... the voice work needs more distinction.

But it's worth a read. I plan to read the next book in the series.

written like a Danielle Steel novel.

really wanted to like this book, but it was a struggle to get through. it was a good idea for a story, but fails due to the boring plot, bland generic characters, poor research and overuse of the words balmy and bareback.poorly written and executed.

Love, love, love!

I have bread that Wendy Alec books at least five times each. This was the first audio I had experience. It just creates a richer, deeper truth and understanding. Thank you for making the scripture come alive!

Old Story Brought To Life

I thought it started a bit slow but soon I was so captivated and mesmerized by the descriptions that I had never thought of in certain ways yet were indeed biblical. Love Love Love it! Inspired!

Great Series

I was so excited when I saw Wendy Alec’s Chronicle of the Brothers, series on Audible. I have been a fan since the 1st book came out! These books present a great picture of spiritual warfare. If I recall correctly there were a few years between books 1 and 2. I can imagine that Wendy must’ve been experiencing extreme spiritual warfare during that time. I have been on Audible since 2007 and I am sure that I have Checked for this series at least once a year for the last 5 or so years, I highly recommend these books. The first book may seem a little slow at first but stick with the story, I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

Should be a movie!...

The descriptive, captivating and enthralling story is brilliantly written. Storyline starts off a little slow, then ever so cunningly reveals an imagination of heaven and it’s connection to man through the creative imagery and writing talent of the author. I highly recommend all Christian fiction enthusiasts add this book to their library. -Angela C, Alabaster Alabama

Great book to begin series

Don't agree with certain aspects of the theology but this isn't historical theology. Its a great story based on theology though and worth taking the time to read/listen. Nathaniel Brady does a superb job at narrating.

Demonically dreadful

How difficult could it be to screw up a rewrite of John Milton's epic poem 'Paradise Lost'? In the case of 'The Fall of Lucifer' it appears to be very easily done. Not only is the narrative irritating in the extreme with 2 dimensional characters and laughable dialogue (think 'The book of mormon') but the writing itself is just grotesque.I listened in a state of appalled bemusement at the use of the same adjectives being used with embarrassing frequency. If this were fan fiction it would just be silly. In this case I find the entire book utterly offensive to literature. Suddenly E.L James doesn't seem so awful. Oh, and for some reason the narrator's voice is doubled throughout as though a choir of Cherubim were chanting this god awful book in unison. There is a special circle in hell reserved for the publisher of this terrible and silly tale.

Awesome!

I've heard about this, wondered about this, read about this and really thought about this ... just never managed to 'clearly' put it all together as Wendy has managed to. A GREAT introduction. Now for Book 2 :o)

Outstanding performance

The narrator really made this story come to life. As to the story itself, it was an interesting take on the scriptures. Well written. Perhaps an overabundance of testosterone since there wasn't even ONE female character (aside from Eve, Mary and a Jordanian princess, the latter speaking more than three lines of dialogue, which is more than I can say for the other 2 female characters).
