Publisher's Summary

In the beginning....

Three brothers - Gabriel, Michael, and Lucifer. Royalty. Archangels. United in devotion to their father and all his works.

But when Lucifer learns of their father’s latest creation - a new race, fashioned from crude matter and yet made in his image - he is consumed with resentment. Why have he and his angelic kind been overlooked?

After a bitter confrontation, Lucifer is cast out, doomed to an eternity of exile and punishment.

Unrepentant, he vows he won’t suffer alone. Mankind has made a powerful enemy - one determined to lure it into darkness and torment any way he can....

Great Story.

Such an interesting book. Well written and wasn't boring at all. Many concepts in the story that I hadn't considered. look forward to the next book in the series.

Love the plot, and the author, but way too flowery

Struggled to finish because of the over done description. I love the author, but this needs to be edited down for more simplicity in describing setting and character appearances. Granted she's describing Heaven, but the over use of the same terms was extremely distracting and got annoying.

Awesome

I read the book first but the story comes alive when you can hear it and visualize it. Very informative and a good read for Christian scholars. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants answers about the fall.

Very interesting subject matter 😎

It's cool to see a take on this topic. And see how it's woven into the Bible.

At times, it was hard to follow the story though because of the time jumps in the story. And with different characters... the voice work needs more distinction.

But it's worth a read. I plan to read the next book in the series.

written like a Danielle Steel novel.

really wanted to like this book, but it was a struggle to get through. it was a good idea for a story, but fails due to the boring plot, bland generic characters, poor research and overuse of the words balmy and bareback.poorly written and executed.

It is just OK

The novelization of the story of the fallen angels is quite good. I particularly like the view of the fall of Lucifer as a long process, rather than a quick decision, something that is in line with the view of several early Church Fathers. The part I was quite not fond was that bad and good angels are presented almost as equals in force, giving to the story some dualism taste. Moreover, in the heavenly, war God is just the strategist, leaving the tactic entirely to His heavenly hosts. I guess this plot was required for a more exciting story. Also, the story depicts Noah carrying dinosaurs in the ark! This was quite unexpected as the author make great efforts to present God works through His Host employing physical and biological laws even referring to the men as Homo Sapiens. Hence, the inclusion of an animal specie that was extincted for millions or years before the time of Noah is to say the least crazy. An aspect I found a bit disconcerting is the rationale for the mechanisms of God incarnation. The author goes through quite weird possibilities, including that Mary was impregnated somehow by God (which by the way is regarded by the angels as the equivalent of an incubator), disregarding the simplest possibility, that Mary was preserved from sin (as proclaimed by the Angel in Luke 1:28, Hail kecharitomene), therefore taking His flesh (genes) from her and hence acquiring the human nature.

Incredible book. Incredible series.

Thought this book was Great. But it gets better. Well written. Best narrorator. And does not take away from the Bible. Sad but lovely depection of the grace of God, the great sin of pride, and the love of Jesus. Such an engaging and interesting story. The series Should be made into a movie

Love, love, love!

I have bread that Wendy Alec books at least five times each. This was the first audio I had experience. It just creates a richer, deeper truth and understanding. Thank you for making the scripture come alive!

Demonically dreadful

How difficult could it be to screw up a rewrite of John Milton's epic poem 'Paradise Lost'? In the case of 'The Fall of Lucifer' it appears to be very easily done. Not only is the narrative irritating in the extreme with 2 dimensional characters and laughable dialogue (think 'The book of mormon') but the writing itself is just grotesque.I listened in a state of appalled bemusement at the use of the same adjectives being used with embarrassing frequency. If this were fan fiction it would just be silly. In this case I find the entire book utterly offensive to literature. Suddenly E.L James doesn't seem so awful. Oh, and for some reason the narrator's voice is doubled throughout as though a choir of Cherubim were chanting this god awful book in unison. There is a special circle in hell reserved for the publisher of this terrible and silly tale.

Outstanding performance

The narrator really made this story come to life. As to the story itself, it was an interesting take on the scriptures. Well written. Perhaps an overabundance of testosterone since there wasn't even ONE female character (aside from Eve, Mary and a Jordanian princess, the latter speaking more than three lines of dialogue, which is more than I can say for the other 2 female characters).
