I quite enjoyed this book. The story and the underlying messages about family and believing in yourself were lovely. I found the female very difficult to listen to at the beginning. Her voice is very scratchy, and the way she over exerts in a stop start way is very difficult to follow. Thankfully later in the book when her character relaxes, her voice does too, making it more enjoyable and easier on the ears. 10/10 for the male voice, he was fantastic.

New favourite Hockey Fake dating romance?!?!
Hazel my girl hazel, I loved her the minute she was introduced in behind the net and loved her even more in the fake out, the way she was portrayed, such take no bullshit energy, and her very strong personality, such a pocket rocket. And Rory honestly just complimented her personality, he was the best book boyfriend, I love a man who shows his love through gift giving and acts of service, him being vulnerable and soft and sweet ugh gosh. I adored the friendship and relationship both Rory and Hazel had, they had insane banter and lovedddd the tension and flirting.
I guess we all can agree that Connor McKinnon was a piece of trash, the audiobook was perfect, nararated in duet style by Connor Crais and Kit Swann, it was my first audiobook narrated by kit swann and she was amazing, really enjoyed the audio!! If you love audios I recommend listening to it!!

Not only was this story better than I was expecting - I had high expectations but Stephanie blew them out of the water!! - but THE NARRATION??? Connor and Kit did Hazel and Rory so good I freaking loved this duet so much.

Rory and Hazel's book is without a doubt my favourite - I love them so much, the fact that they've both kind of been crushing on each other since high school ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Rory worked so hard to prove to Hazel that he wasn't like her shitty ex, that he would love and support her dreams no matter what; and Hazel was so protective over Rory, did everything she could to encourage him to enjoy life and not be so worried about losing hockey and constantly living up to his fathers unobtainable expectations. Rory and Hazel reinvigorated each other's passions and love each other in a way they hadn't gotten to experience before - I love them and this story so dearly <3

The male narrator is really good and believable whereas the female narrator is too breathy a lot of times. Overall I did enjoy the book at lot though.

This is one of my favourite series ever, so naturally I bought them on audio for rereads. The female narrator is good, I didn’t love her voice at first but I think it really fits Hazel. I’m not a huge fan of the way she does other characters though. The male narrator is amazing, I love his voice.
