Kept me listening for more
Really enjoyed listening to this. Yes, most of the characters are shallow and despicable, but I was kept hanging, wondering how it was all going to pan out. Lots of twists and turns. I’d recommend.

Great but end disappointing
Great book - well narrated - unfortunately the end was poorly done - doesn’t match the characters - missing a chapter probably because the whole thing would fall apart upon realisation - characters developed then turned into B-grade cardboard cut-outs which differed to the people - I liked it until towatds the end when it became unreal and contradictory. Poorly developed.

Awesome premise and very disappointing ending
The narration was great, the premise was great, the ending was absurd and it felt all crammed into the last half hour with a ridiculous and entirely unbelievable "twist". Predictable and ultimately disappointing after the first half.

Kazablanka's review
I agree with most of the other posted comments. The story was well constructed. The cast of (mostly despicable) characters all had great backstories. The narrator had a captivating voice, and the book was difficult to put down. But the end was disappointing - after the slow, patient buildup a lot happened really fast. There were also a few plot points where things weren't quite realistic. Definitely worth the read, but I wouldn't give it 5 stars.
