About this listen
Far be it for a lady to desire, hatch, and execute a daring seduction of a notorious duke at a masquerade ball. But Miss Emmaline Fitzgerald, a wallflower with no decent prospect, was on such a path, and her quarry was her brother's best friend Elliot Winthrop, the Duke of Hartford.
One moment of sin, stolen pleasure, and irresistible passion - that was all it was supposed to be....
Little did Emma realize everything about her was imprinted in Elliot’s heart and mind, and her scandalous ruse was about to change and challenge everything she thought she knew about herself and the devilish duke.
©2019 Stacy Reid (P)2020 Stacy ReidI absolutely LOVE that Stacy has written a story with a disability and hats off to her for that. I wish there had been more to the story that showed that aspect and how it came into their love story. I would've liked a longer story.
I found it a bit frustrating that the heroine couldn't believe that the hero loved her, disability and all. In the end after being reunited in each others arms 8 years later at ball. Th hero comes to his senses and fights for her to show her he loves her, all of her and will never give up on her.
Catherine Bilson did an alright job but I don't think she really pulls off the English accent.
Passionate. Very enjoyable. Disability trope ❤💜❤
