4.75 stars

I really enjoyed this book, almost perfect. The story wasn’t stupid, she wasn’t annoying, there was no angst, it wasn’t slow, and he was divine! It was very steamy even though the actual deed didn’t come until close to the end, there were lots to keep it hot along the way. The narration was great, I loved that she was able to do a great male voice for Aleric but the only complaint I have is that a lot of the males sounded the same making it hard to tell one from the other. Highly recommend and worth the credit.

Dear Grace, You Naughty Woman

All I can say is this author writes what I love to hear: the sexy, lewd, lascivious, and lustful words of a passionate man.

It's sizzling hot. Nuff said. Loved it.

American Erin Mallon is not suited to a phony British accent.

Full of passion and mystery

'The Duke who knew too Much' is not only a steamy and passionate regency romance, but also a very thought-out mystery that fits well into the time period. Emma is a feisty woman who knows her own mind, and Aleric is brooding, hot, and very 'duke-ish', just delish!
It's great to see the entire Kent family again, who made their debut in Callaway's Mayhem in Mayfair series, where I fell in love with them.
A book not to be missed!

I LOVED THIS BOOK...

I loved this book. It had twists and turns and many surprises. It is very very steamy, however, I happen to love that!! Can't wait for the next book in the series!!

The Narrator was good. She didn't do anything that took away from the story. I would definitely listen to her again.

I recommend this book if you love some steam with your romance!! I do...

Unacceptable

I'm not a prude and I don't mind some fairly steamy scenes but this story is just plain X rated. At first you have sympathy for the Duke but after he drags an innocent woman against her will to a brothel in order to make his point, I found him unredeemable. I found it an instance of non consensual participation in sexual deviance. regardless of attraction, this woman should have slapped him in the face and let him clean up his own mess. She was not in the wrong when she reported seeing what she assumed was an assault and his character should have been smart enough to be aware of that instead of being " infuriated" by her. I couldn't get past this and will not read anymore of her books in the future.

How do I love thee . . . unconditionally?

Firstly, this is definitely adult reading, exploring multiple dimensions on what it means to declare love, show love, be loved and accept love. There are initial scenes in brothels which may not be to some people's taste. Yet, parts of the story are bittersweet and poignant, intense, humorous and suspenseful. Both primary characters grow in depth and maturity, are well developed and well written. Alaric's and Emma's coupling is a tense relationship juxtaposing physical passion versus intimacy and vulnerability. While Emma grows from extremely naive to insightful, Alaric grows from cold to caring. Along the way with the support of excellently written family characters many mysteries are solved. Erin Mallon provides competent narration.

Some like it hot!

I loved the transformation of the main characters. I also found the steamy attraction between Emma and the Duke to be most enjoyable!

Really good

Grace Callaway reminds me of Julie Garwood's earlier books, but steamier. Funny, Suspense ,Mystery and steamy sex, what's not to love in this book. And Erin Mallon does an excellent job of narrating. Definitely worth a credit. I'm off to read the next in this series, hoping it's just as good as this was. Enjoy!😄

Narrator's mistakes are too distracting.

Erin Mallon was the wrong narrator for this title. Her accent didn't sound right. It was more appropriate for a historical set in 5th Ave, NY. Her wrong pronunciation of words like "ton," "mama," and "papa" with short vowels and the stress in the wrong syllables distracted me from the story. She even got the name of the hero pronounced wrong. The story itself started off right, but I couldn't suspend reality enough to accept a current duchess having a job as an investigator. I just couldn't finish it.

sizzling action and steamy romance

Callaway weaves an interesting tale along with a steamy, sexy hero. the title of the book doesn't quite match the tale but the story is worthy of a good read. Mallon is very good at conveying different voices and tones so hearing the book was a pleasure.
