This is truly captivating right from the very beginning it kept me wanting more and it was so hard to stop listening. Barbara Erskine is the most amazing writer with fantastic plots and characters. Her ability to make you see the story she writes in front of you astounds me. Fantastic book, well worth the wait. A hugh thank you to Barbara for what will be my new favorite book of hers

Barbara Erskine always writes a good story that hooks you right from the beginning. This one is no different. The general broad outline of someone from the present getting haunted by characters from the past may be common in all Ms Erskine's books but the stories surrounding the central premise are fresh and the characters so well written it doesn't matter. The narration is masterful. thank you for another book of amazing characters, gorgeous scenery and fantastic entertainment.

As always a mesmerizing story, unputdownable. It never seems to amaze me how Barbara is able to make the reader think they're living the story. My first Erskine novel was Lady of Hay & since then I have not been able to miss a book, searching to see when the next one is out. I'm obsessed. Thank you Barbara for your amazing story telling, it's so good retreating into one of your books.
