The central character is a woman scorned, and the lengths she goes to in order to reclaim control of her life are shocking, clever, and at times a little over the top. I can imagine some readers cheering her on, but I personally found myself both impressed and slightly uncomfortable with just how far she was willing to go — which, of course, is part of the book’s appeal.
This is a gripping, easy-to-read psychological thriller that doesn’t linger unnecessarily and keeps the pages turning. I enjoyed it enough to be curious about the sequels and to see what other dark and “dastardly” plans await in her pursuit of a perfectly “happy”
