About this listen

A New York Times Bestseller

In this “unequivocally hilarious and delightful” (Kirkus Reviews) young adult romp for fans of Recommended for You and A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow, a teen girl has the worst Valentine’s Day ever—only to relive it over and over again.

After living through a dumpster fire of a Valentine’s Day, Emilie Hornby escapes to her grandmother’s house for some comfort and a consolation pint of Ben & Jerry’s. She passes out on the couch, but when she wakes up, she’s back home in her own bed—and it’s Valentine’s Day all over again. And the next day? Another horrendous V-Day.

Emilie is stuck in some sort of time loop nightmare that she can’t wake up from as she re-watches her boyfriend, Josh, cheat on her day after day. In addition to Josh’s recurring infidelity, Emilie can’t get away from the enigmatic Nick, who she keeps running into—sometimes literally—in unfortunate ways.

How many times can one girl passively watch her life go up in flames? And when something good starts to come out of these terrible days, what happens when the universe stops doling out do-overs?

I don't know about you guys but I just can't listen to a narrator who perfectly fits the fmc and does an amazing guy voice. Someone who acts out the scenes soo well that I can picture the scene vividly.....said no one ever 😆😆😆😆
Jesse does such a great job! I want her to narrate all of Lynn Painters books moving forward, please and thank you 🙏

I absolutely adore this book. Lynn Painter skillfully weaves a time loop narrative, expertly tying up all loose ends and addressing potential gaps in a masterful and satisfying way.

Emilie, portrayed by Jesse Vilinsky, is simply perfection. Vilinsky ensures that Emilie is rightfully portrayed with depth and emotion, allowing Painter's character to shine.

And Nick... Oh, Nick! He has definitely become one of my favorite YA book boyfriends. Get ready to swoon and swoon some more as he captures your heart with every chapter.

From its perfect beginning to its rom-com adventures and heartbreaks in the middle, and the flawless ending, I loved every moment of it!

Recommended for: Any fan of YA romance who doesn't mind a little Groundhog day magic with their giggles!

I came looking for more Lynn Painter audiobooks after thoroughly enjoying Better Than The Movies, and I had high expectations for this one. The MC is interesting enough but I couldn’t get attached to the love interest at all! To me, he was just a big blah so I wasn’t really invested throughout. The do-over scenario was fun though, but as per my title, it was a chore to finish this one. Only Jesse’s voice made it a little more bearable.

Came for the story, stayed for the narrator
