Part ghost story, part murder mystery, with the feel of an epic saga just starting to unfold.

Great performance, I was never drawn out of the story by the narrator's voice, which for me is the sign of a great audio book.

I thought this was enjoyable, although it was very drawn out, which is why I purchased the audio book! The audible helped me SO MUCH. I highly recommend this if you're struggling with the physical book.

I didn't love the plot but I adored the setting and characters of this book. The narration though is absolutely amazing and made the whole book a pleasure to listen to.

a few years back I read Beauty Queens by Libba Bray so add my first pick for my free trial of Audible I chose another Bray book & frankly I was hooked... anywhere it was socially acceptable for me to have my headphones in I was listening.... now for the second & third books in the series...
