Publisher's Summary

From acclaimed author Dr. Jason Fung, a revolutionary guide to reversing diabetes.

Dr. Jason Fung forever changed the way we think about obesity with his best-selling book The Obesity Code. Now he has set out to do the same for type 2 diabetes.

Today, most doctors, dietitians, and even diabetes specialists consider type 2 diabetes to be a chronic and progressive disease, a life sentence with no possibility of parole. But the truth, as Dr. Fung reveals in this paradigm-shifting audiobook, is that type 2 diabetes is reversible.

Writing with clear, persuasive language, he explains why conventional treatments that rely on insulin or other blood-glucose-lowering drugs can actually exacerbate the problem, leading to significant weight gain and even heart disease. The only way to treat type 2 diabetes effectively, he argues, is proper dieting and intermittent fasting, not medication.

All the questions answered.<br />

Very informative. I have been reversed for a couple of years now, with lots of walking and a low fat diet, did it the hard way, then I started to put it all back on. Then I found The Obesity Code and Fasting along with Keto, as suggested in your book.
This is such a better approach.
This book is such a freeing experience. I will never be there again.

A wake up call to many of us in Western society.

I had just bought a BGL tester, did my first self test and was shocked at the reading of 19! I have read the book over 3 weeks and instigated some of Dr Fung’s strategies . Already lost 3kg and blood readings between 7 and 9. A life changer. Stopped regular reflux and anti inflammatory meds. A recommended read from an author with a reputable medical background.

Truly exceptional. A rare find

Almost every book of the modern era within the health and lifestyle genre makes assertions built on author opinion. This is increasingly prevalent In ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting books, due to their reliance on a theoretical Palaeolithic man (despite few authors coming from a background of palaeontology). Dr Fung has written this book building each opinion, assertion and theory, not on anecdotal evidence and opinion, but on hard science. Is this the full picture? Only doing your own Independant research can tell. It is refreshing nonetheless to have such an optimistic story grounded in fact.

Life Changing!

This book is fantastic! As a Diabetes Type 2 sufferer, I had just about given up hope of fixing this. I'm about 2 months into following the advice in this book and it's been amazing. I read the companion book to this one, The Obesity Code, before reading this one, and I can't recommend both highly enough. If you're obese or diabetic, read both!

I've lost 12kg (26.4lbs) in 2 months - well over 10% of my total body weight - and it's still coming off. Blood sugar down from about 16mmol/L (290mg/dl) to about 6mmol/L (110mg/dl) too. It's pretty amazing! The advice is not particularly hard to follow either; it's certainly way easier than any other weight loss program I've tried before. I mean, it's not fun, but it's certainly do-able and doesn't take much will-power.

This book is just life changing!

Good Information

This book is full of facts and figures, which is quite overwhelming. It is good to know that the conclusions in the book are based on these facts but it is not important to try and remember them all.
Dr Jason Fung's narration is very monotonous and puts me to sleep so this makes the book hard to listen too.
