Publisher's Summary

A comprehensive value-investing framework for the individual investor.

In a straightforward and accessible manner, The Dhandho Investor lays out the powerful framework of value investing. Written with the intelligent individual investor in mind, this comprehensive guide distills the Dhandho capital allocation framework of the business-savvy Patels from India and presents how they can be applied successfully to the stock market. The Dhandho method expands on the groundbreaking principles of value investing expounded by Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett, and Charlie Munger.

Listeners will be introduced to important value investing concepts such as "Heads, I win! Tails, I don't lose that much!", "Few Bets, Big Bets, Infrequent Bets", Abhimanyu's dilemma, and a detailed treatise on using the Kelly Formula to invest in undervalued stocks.

Using a light, entertaining style, Pabrai lays out the Dhandho framework in an easy-to-use format. Any investor who adopts the framework is bound to improve on results and soundly beat the markets and most professionals.

To the point!

Many similar books I’ve read will beat you over the head with endless examples. Not this one. Aside from repeating the Dhandho principal for recognition this book offers simple rules you can follow along with resources to help along the way.

Loved this Book!

This book has completely shifted my mindset on not just investing, but on life. Be a giver, seek value, and create wealth to give. Choose companies & people to believe into, not the market. Thank you Mohnish Pabrai for such an amazing work, and Neil Shah for such a personable tone and enthusiastic way of telling the story. This is one of the books I will continue to visit and re-read (listen) to in the future!

Examples are plenty and case studies are practical.

Mohnish or should I say "Moneyish"

I have over the years read and listened to many investing books. Mr. Pabrai's book is right up there with the best of them. It reinforces principles on investing that will steer you in the right direction. The book provides practical and conceptual investing ideas from beginning to end. I found the examples and stories entertaining and helped to keep the information fresh, interesting and easier to remember. What makes this investing book unique is that it has heart and warmth. In other words, I felt Mr. Pabrai's was not just trying to make money from writing the book, but was actually trying to help. You can tell he really had something he wanted to share with the reader. I believe for Mr. Pabrai, and like the book said, helping people must make him happy. Good job, Mr. Pabrai!!!

A good concept to investing

This book helps bring together successful strategies from other value investors such as buffet and greenblat and turns into his own. this is the authors philosophy use what works don't try to reinvent the weak and minimise your risk. nevertheless this requires great skill and most investors will struggle to achieve this.
