Ok, but not my cup of tea

If you like instalove stories with mild drama and even milder love scenes, then this is perfect for you. I did finish the story, but I am unsure if I continue with the series.

A different kind of love story...

the story was sweet though I must admit the mc sister's current story was a little out there and a little distracting from the main story but little Tate and his dad made up for it.

Feel good story w swoony H and cool h!

Who doesn't love a good story of a single dad with an adorable kid? A boss-nanny relationship? Some danger with romance? Well we check off all of those in this book! NFL player, single dad, widower...all words to describe Ryder Quinn. He lost his wife to breast cancer almost a year ago, but his marriage wasn't all roses even before his wife's diagnosis. Now he's coping with the aftermath of a relationship that shouldn't have been, well except for the fact that he got his awesome son out of it, and trying to get his son to talk again. When he hires a speech pathologist/nanny to work with his son, Ryder does not expect to get an outspoken, fun young woman...but that's what he gets. Bree grew up in the foster system after the death of her parents, at the age of 12. To make matters worse, she was separated from her 10yo sister. She had a rough time but survived and made it through college. Now with her first well-paying job, as a therapist/nanny, Bree can finally afford to replace her POS car and hire a private investigator to find her sister. Bree doesn't plan on the insta-attraction to her new boss, but that's what happens. Now Bree and Ryder just have to navigate the pitfalls of a personal relationship with boss/employee, while determining how best to help little Tate regain his speech. Of course, there is also the suspense of locating Bree's sister, Jasmine, and finding out that she's some type of undercover agent with bad guys chasing her. As previously mentioned, lots of action, drama, fun times and love are packed into this short story. We get brief glimpses of the other Quinn siblings and can look forward to their stories as well. The narrator did a fabulous job with all of the characters...he really upped the 'swoon' factor in Ryder! Can't wait for the next book!

Surface-y insta-love

Sweet story but the insta-lust/ insta-love is a bit too much for my liking. I was hoping for something with a little more depth eg the author could have potentially expounded on the speech therapy aspect, or the emotional journey of Bree's search for her sister and their reunion etc. But instead, the main characters are immediately drawn together from the first second they see each other and a third of the book is them thinking how amazing the other person is. Another third is some over the top (and unexpected) action scenes. And all this within the space of a few short days. It was all a little rushed so it felt all over the place at times. The characters themselves are really likeable and deserved a book double the length to do them both justice. Also would have loved to see the relationship unfold over time or at the very least a genuine attempt to fill the gaps between physical attraction upon meeting and professing undying love.

Devoted Groom

I gave up in the first few minutes. I hate when an author makes the heroine stupid in order to make the man smart. It’s a deal breaker. Especially when said author goes to great pains to tell us how smart the woman is by extolling her college/masters degree. Then, the 1st time they meet, she has a spate of Tourette’s syndrome & swears stupid childish swears at him. Maybe it’s supposed to be funny, but it seems demeaning to me.

Good

I really liked this book and would recommend it. It would make a great lifetime movie. I like this couple together and can't wait to hear her sister and his brother's story. Tate was a sweet lil boy and I hope they give him a lil bro or sis in the next book. Jaz was a kick ass no nonsense lady. I liked her.

Cami has once again created an outstanding tale!

The Devoted Groom is a touching story with a Cinderella type of a storyline. With a touch of mystery, a little action and a lot of desire, this tale kept the reader’s interest throughout the story. The narrator, Stephen Dexter, did a very good job in maintaining consistent “voices” and in voice reflections adding the emphasis to enhance the listeners enjoyment. The characters personalities were well portrayed and the scenes easily visualized. The Book Cover was acceptable but the Title was not a great fit. I offer a Four and a Half Stars tating

Sweet romance

The hero is super handsome and buff, the heroine stunningly attractive. Surprise! They’re instantly drawn to each other. That’s kind of the problem; if everything is wonderful, it’s a fairy tale, not a romance. That being said, the characters are likable in spite of their gorgeous looks. The little child is cute and lovable. The house is even beautiful. When everything in a story is great, what you have is chewing gum instead of something delicious that you can digest.
