About this listen

Not even the devil can stop Widow from doing what's right.

In the remote town of Hellbent, New Hampshire, a woman, eight months pregnant, steps off a train. She is alone, and desperate to find her missing husband—a nuclear missiler. He’s gone missing. No one knows where he is. The Pentagon won’t acknowledge that he even exists. She believes time is running out, and she fears the worst. Her only hope is a drifter she just met, named Jack Widow. Together, maybe they can find her husband.

What they don’t know is that he might already be dead. A gang of Army-rejects has been hunting for him. And they may have already found him. The gang’s leader is so evil; he might be in league with the devil.

Do you love Lee Child's Jack Reacher, Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp, and Mark Greaney's Gray Man, then you will binge the entire Jack Widow Action-Thriller Series once you've listened to one chapter.

Great paced story - albeit a shorter length novel than previous and ended a little too easy for Me Widow.
Mr Ormond was superb as always in his narration.
Jack Widow fans won't be disappointed.
Looking forward to the next one!

A bit short of the expected 8 hours.

Great listen

I liked the way the pace increased from the beginning to a fever pitched ending. The narrator is perfect, as usual, for the Widow seies of books

An excellent build up

I have to say that if this has been the first book from Scott Blade I had listened to, it would have been the last. It is nowhere near the standard of all of the many books by this authori have purchased and listened to. The amount of unnecessary descriptive content was really annoying and I felt I was being treated like a novice who hasn't seen anything 'normal' you would expect in a given situation, like in an older dwelling with the usual furniture, or the in depth descriptives about what someone looked like. These things are normally a 'given' and don't need clarification in my opinion. It seemed to be a book Scott didn't want to write and he was struggling to get a certain minimum word count, hence the stretching of the continuous descriptions of everything throughout this book. It was short on the story line but long on the unnecessary fluff. Very disappointed...

very disappointed

half the dialogue is widow repeating the last words he heard. Okay for a action book

bland
