Publisher's Summary

Harlow’s celebrity daughter is about to make an announcement that will change his life. The decision? It’s going to send him on a collision course with love.

Former SEAL-turned-bodyguard Harlow isn’t prepared to have love smash face-first into his fist after one of the worst days of his life...or for it arrive in such a cute package.

For seven lonely years following the loss of his husband, he’s been too wrapped up in raising his teenage daughter to think about a relationship, much less with an employee young enough to be his son.

But the sparks he feels when he’s with shy, geeky Simon are starting to change his mind, and when circumstance strands them together under the same roof with just one air mattress between them...well, you know what they say. If a single spark can start a fire, Harlow and Simon are about to set the world ablaze.

The Decision is a contemporary omegaverse romance novel featuring a quirky group of single dads, 18D action, air mattress encounters, and two very different men who find exactly what they need in each other.

Brilliantly written and magnificently engaging

think Simon and Harlow have the longest road of all the Single Dads and their story feels the deepest to me personally.  I just adore Simon and his family dynamics and the development of the Single Dads and a friendship group really gets momentum in this book. This is NOT a standalone – you really have to read these in order but they are some of the best books in the genre and you will not regret it.  Brilliantly written and magnificently engaging – the characters feel like your own best friends and the laughs and tears are real. Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration brings our boys to life in new ways.  I love his portrayal of Harlow particularly – both the written and audio versions are highly recommended.

Brilliant narration

Michael Ferraiuolo is a brilliant narrator. He's making an already fantastic series come to life. Simon and Harley's story was a long time coming. We didn't know anything about the mysterious Harley, but when he gets his time to shine things about him start to make sense. I really love how everything comes together and appreciate how this one was different than the first three books in the series. Harley and Simon really focus on their relationship and it shows in how slowly the fire between them grows. It's so well done and even though they have a lot to deal with between their family circumstances, they prove that they are perfect for one another. It's a great read and I am so excited that there's a new single dad in the group. It's going to be so exciting to see what happens with that.

Great story with a superb narrator

Love Harlow and Simon; an engaging couple in an engaging story; another great installment in the Single Dad Support Group series. But what really makes this story is the audiobook. I mean it’s great on paper - Piper Scott always does a great job with the story and characters and it’s terrific writing. But when you’ve got Michael Ferraiuolo narrating, it’s like you won the lottery. If you told me I could get an audiobook of Michael reading the telephone book, I’d be like sign me up - take my Audible credits now, thank you. The reason he is so fantastic at everything he narrates … and I mean every.thing … is that you forget about him. You experience the characters and hear their voices, not a narrator reading lines. Michael brings these characters to life so much so that you forget that he is the one doing the talking, not Harlow or Simon. I cannot recommend this audio enough - a great story with an insanely talented narrator = win win.

Good Addition to a Great Series

While I enjoyed this story, it was not my favorite of this delightful series. I understand why Evie and Shep are an integral part of the story, but I think there was too much of them and not enough of Harlow and Simon. I wanted more of their story. As always, the narration is flawless and I can't wait for the last stories to be released on audio.

Love it!

I always love listening to one of Piper Scott's story. Harlow and Simon's is no different. I absolutely love their story. They are so perfect for each other and I just love listening to their story. Michael Ferraiuolo does another amazing job with this narration. I am always feeling like I am pulled right into the story. He brings all these characters to life. I can't wait to listen to the next one.

Opposites attract

This much anticipated story was so worth the wait for its audio release. Harlow with his tough facade was a real sweetheart at his core. When Harlow is faced with tough choices because of his famous daughter, it brings him face to face with Simon. Simon, someone who has had so much on his shoulders for so long, was able to relate to Harlow in so many ways, making their age gap inconsequential where it mattered. The story is on the longer side, but the narrarion is so flawless that you get sucked into the story. These single dads keep you entertained with their wit, humor and daily lives. Im looking forward to the next single dad finding his match.

Couldn't stop listening

I really love the guys from the Single Dad Support Group and LoveHarley is great. As a single dad (and bodyguard) of a teen celebrity, there's more than just regular teen issues to deal with. When his daughter decides to run away, it puts Harlow into a tricky situation of treating her like the young lady she is, while still trying to keep her safe. Simon has secretly had a crush on Harlow so when their paths cross, it's a dream come true, at least until the broken nose. It takes some creative space and working through the miles separating them but they do get their HEA. This is another great story narrated by Michael and anytime I read a book I know he's narrated, I now read it with his voice in my head. I look forward to listening to the next books in the series.

Fantabulously Spectacular!!

I loved reading this book and now listening to it really brought it to a whole other level. The narrator did a fantastic job with these characters and in really bringing the story to life. You can really feel all of the characters emotions through his interpretation. What an incredible addition to a spectacular series. I think this is my favorite one so far. Harlow and Simon are perfect together! Their chemistry is red hot and when they get together, WOW, they are sizzling hot, like seriously need a fan around! I laughed and cried with them and loved seeing their relationship grow to their very well deserved HEA! Simon is just the sweetest and Harlow is wonderful with him. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

Loving this series

I love this series by Piper Scott, and was thrilled to see it come to audio. I’m a huge Michael Ferraiuolo fan so each book is a delight. The Single Dad Support Group is this group of men who met online and who support each other. Hence the name. But there’s plenty of snark and joy and other stuff as well. Heck, they’ve even managed to meet in person. Harlow is single dad to his celebrity daughter Evie. Evie is a great kid right up until the moment things go sideways and Harlow is forced to face things he hasn’t to this point. He’s been raising Evie since the death of his husband, and his entire world revolves around his daughter. He’s even become a bodyguard to protect her. A way to put all that SEAL training to work, I suppose. In the past he’s hired a contractor to do his computer work – some of it legal, some not so much. He’s never given Simon much thought, until they encounter each other, literally. Simon has had a crush on Harlow for freaking ever, but he doesn’t expect the meeting to start out as a confrontation. But things settle – somewhat – and the men find themselves sharing a tiny apartment and an air mattress. And, well, things get interesting from there. I liked the dynamics in this book. Simon may be young, but he’s been holding together his family since the tragic loss of his parents. He has two brothers he loves, but who would be lost without him. He has a nephew he adores, but who also relies on him. His life is truly entrenched in Aurora while Harlow’s is in Hollywood. So how will they ever make it work? Finally, I liked how Simon’s brother Jayne wound up joining the Single Dad Support Group. That means more books! I’m off to read book five next and I can’t wait. (Oh, and I finally got to find out why Harlow uses the screenname Love Harley…)

i bloody love this series!

Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted the audio file of this book. This is book 4 in the Single Dads Support Group series. Its not NECESSARY to read/listen to the other 3, but it would help a great deal. Much of Harlow's life is a secret and you need to know what the other guys know, or don't know, as the case may be. Also, they are all 4 and 5 stars from me. (Book 2 doesn't quite hit 5 stars) Harlow's teenage daughter disappears and he is distraught. He calls upon Simon, the computer wizard he works with, to find her. When Harlow comes face to face with the person keeping his daughter from him, he lashes out, and it takes a single sound to bring him round, to actually listen to what's happening to Evie. The fact that Harlow breaks his nose when they first meet should have put Simon off, but since H has been the feature of his fantasies for so long, the punch just shows Simon how strong H is and how he can give Simon what he really wants: Harlow himself. So, book 3 I said was my favourite of the first three. NOW? This book is my favourite! Simon and H have worked together, remotely, for 3 years and Simon has lusted after H for as long. Finding him on his doorstep, looking for Evie was a shock, but when Evie says she is staying with Simon's younger brother, H decides he is staying too. And Simon has his fantasy sleeping right there on the couch. Things move quickly for Simon and H, VERY quickly. The whole book takes place over one short week, while Evie decides what she really wants to do. And it's right and proper that these guys move at this speed, given what happens to Simon here. Harlow is no stranger to lost loves, and when he falls, he falls fast and hard. He tells Simon this. But when Evie decides she wants to go home, to Hollywood, Simon can't go. His brothers need him. Enter big brother Jayne, and his inclusion into the Single Dads Support Group. Jayne and the other dads move mountains for Simon and Harlow. And I loved that they did. It's sexy hawt, but mostly because Simon and H are in the living room and *trying* to be quiet. Not succeeding though! It's deeply emotional, I thought. H is very philosophical about things, about his daughter, about his dead husband, about the single dads too. But mostly about Simon. That first time they meet, when H breaks Simon's nose, even when H thought his daughter was in danger, he noted the beauty in the kid, his eyes, his body. And H knows very quickly that Simon really is his, and will be, however long it takes to get them Happy Ever After. All the the other single dads take part, even if Knot is in New York and everyone else is in Aurora (apologises if that's not how you spell it, I've only HEARD it, not seen it written down) and I loved that they do. Mr Michael Ferraiuolo continues to narrate this series, and I am struggling to find new ways to say I bloody love his narration of these books! All the character's voices are consistent throughout the series, and I have no trouble keeping up with everyone when their are multi person conversations. The group chats are still hilarious, and Ferraiuolo gets over all the guys personalities across all the books. I look forward to continuing with this series, I want ALL the guys to get their Happy Ever After, and Knot is the one I'm waiting for. But HIS story is the last one! 5 stars for the book 5 stars for the narration 5 stars overall **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

My favorite so far!

5 Stars! The Decision has become my favorite in the series (so far)! I absolutely loved Simon and Harlow, they were just so good together. While the book covers just 2 weeks or so of time, they'd 'known' each other for longer than that. Or rather, Simon had been online stalking Harlow and Harlow had been contacting Simon for work until they met. The attraction was instant and their chemistry burned bright and damn if Simon going from shy, sweet guy to being a dirty boy whenever he was alone with Harlow. *fans self* I wish we'd gotten to see a bit more of them in the future and not just the start of their relationship, but I do hope we'll see or learn more about them in the next book(s) in the series.  The SDSG's chats were hilarious as always and it was nice getting to know Harley's daughter and Simon's family.  Michael Ferraiuolo delivered a flawless performance, all the different voices and the emotions he managed to convey in me as a listener are just a few of the reasons why he's one of my top favorite narrators ever.  Overall, other than me being greedy and wanting more, I just can't recommend this audiobook enough. It was fun and sexy and just a tad angsty, and I couldn't put it down until I finished it at 2am. I just needed to know how things would play out.

Amazing

An amazing addition by Piper Scott, think this is my favorite so far (keeping my opinion open until the full series is available). This would be a perfect Hallmark movie. This couple was a true pleasure to get to know. Michael Ferraiuolo was a master as always. Hope it will not be too long before next book is available, little bit addicted to the series. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Another wonderful book on this series...

As a huge fan of this series I was waiting for Harlow's story and Piper Scott didn't dissapoint. Another wonderful love story full of heartwarming moments and a lot of sweet, witty and sometimes funny comments by the Single dad support group that helped Harlow and Simon find their forever. I enjoyed a lot the beautifully written characters brought to life by Mr Ferraiuolo, and his amazing voice acting and performance in this interesting plot. Really, every new installment in this series is better than the previous one and always kept me at the edge of my seat. I can't wait for more audiobooks on this series!!

Brilliant narration for a wonderful story

Another great addition to the Single Dad Support Group Series. We get to see LoveHarley's HEA this time and it comes around a little differently than the others. Harley ends up in Simon's home due to circumstances far out of his control. They've actually worked together for a few year but only over the phone and online. Simon's fantasies never included getting punched in the face the moment he opened the door as Harlow is looking for his daughter. There's so much that goes on for the two men before we even get to the possibility of anything more between them. Harlow is focused on his daughter, her career and keeping her safe whilst Simon's is with his two brothers and baby nephew since there parents died a few years ago. It's a slow burn romance that definitely heats up once they start things between them but there's always the uncertainty of the future with what Harlow and Evie will do and Simon's responsibilities to his family. There's added drama when it comes to Evie's co-workers/friends, Simon's landlord does not sound like the nicest man and Parker's father comes around threatening the men and has a bad history with them as well. As always, we can rely on the SDSG to bolster, support and provide light relief when it comes to the day to day as well as the big issues that they face in the story. Teen Dad 2 always makes me chuckle with how innocent and excitable he gets. Really enjoyed this story as there is so much to pay attention to besides the romantic relationship between Simon and Harlow. It engages you with a lot of characters and brings in a real family feel. Michael's narration is, yet again, amazing. His voices, emotions and quality are of an exceptional standard and I love that he brings each character's individual personalities to life through his narration. He has quickly become a favourite of mine, mostly heard through listening to Piper's work.

Favorite so far in the series

First, as always let me say that you can't go wrong with any book performed by Michael Ferraiuolo. His voicings here of all the characters of all ages is perfection. He gets all the emotions right without ever sounding forced or over the top. A superb performance. Now, for the story. It is my favorite so far in this series. Here, both main characters have responsibilities and pasts that they have interpreted as preventing them from having a personal, intimate life, so when they are thrown together we have the classic forced proximity and employer/employee tropes. These two guys clearly belong together and generate enormous amounts of heat but they have some real struggles to overcome to accept what they have to offer each other and to accept that they deserve to be happy themselves, not just make their families happy. This book investigates some real questions about what it means to be "selfish" versus how a person who cares for themselves is better able to care for others.
