I love all of Joanna Davidson Politano's novels so far. They have a distinctive "flavour", but each story is so unique, and this one is no exception. I love the combination of mystery, suspense, historical setting, steampunk vibes, and romance. It kept me guessing right until the end, and I enjoyed the experience along the way. I love the way Joanna uses metaphor, and I always experience a resonance in my inner life and feel a sense of God speaking through Joanna's words to my own heart and situation without it feeling forced or preachy.
