Publisher's Summary

Charlie has a new helper on her bus, her free-spirited and loveable cousin Delilah, who’s paid a visit to the charming Cornish village of Porthgolow and is helping out on Charlie’s adorable cream tea bus.

When the Director of a new TV series filming further along the coast tells Delilah that the bus would be the perfect addition to their onsite catering, she takes him a bit too literally. Charlie and Delilah find themselves caught up in the filming of a lavish period drama, and it isn’t long before Delilah finds herself drawn to the handsome male lead.

But Delilah has made a habit of making rash decisions, and it’s one of the reasons she’s hiding out in Cornwall. Could this be one impulsive step too far, or is a change of direction the start of something quite unexpected?

Not my favorite book in the series, but still fun.

I didn't like the story of this character. It was frustrating at time and a bit predictable but it was fun to hear the back story of the other characters such as Charlie and Daniel and others in town. overall it was fun and the visuals described were great.

njaaahhh

I really struggled to finish it... The book is not badly written, there it's a story, but the so called heroin is an airhead with a complete lack of impulse control and total inability to learn from her mistakes. I was sick and tired of her after the first seven chapters and my opinion never recovered.

Enjoyable, predictable read.

I have listened to this feel good series and though not thought provoking, it has been very enjoyable when you need a light hearted feel-good listen.

A very decent sequel

The narrator and the narrative have changed in this second book from the first and I found it rather difficult to get used to at first. But I did and enjoyed it.
As with book 1, the female lead in this second book has irritated me with her rashness and inability to see things from other people's perspectives. But that isn't a criticism of the book, indeed it is the character's personality traits that have rubbed me up the wrong way.
This was a worthy sequel but I am slightly apprehensive to listen to the third book now as I wonder if someone else will fly off the handle without weighing up the situation properly first...

Sunny, fun, but corny

In the next instalment can we please have some decent cakes onboard the Cornish Cream Tea bus? Muffins and halloumi bites just don't cut it! Also, a cream tea would NEVER be served with 'mugs' of tea - that's sacrilege! Apart from that, an upbeat & pleasant, if not predictable story with great narration.

so disappointed

I read the first book and loved it, started the second book and really enjoyed it until Charlie went to America - the Lilia got involved with the actors etc and it went on and on and on and on so dull - the whole thing could have been in a quarter of the time - spoilt the book

A lovely story

It took a little while to get used to the different narrator, as the character s were different to the first book, but it was a very enjoyable story.
