A fun Scifi Noir short!

Wow! This stand-alone book is dynamite. It introduces Malcolm a grizzled older hitman doing jobs for hire. The book's short and narrated by the awesome RC Bray! And I loved it!

Excellent Prequel Book

I really felt this was a well done prequel book and will get the next book in this series. Story about a man who is (basically like a bounty hunter for rich corporations in future. This character has a young daughter who he takes with him on his missions cause he is hiding her.

A Well Written Short Story

I needed a quick and interesting book while vacationing and I found it with The Collector. Bruno does a great job of both character and world building in the limited number of pages in this book. We’re first introduced to “the collector” and we find a little bit about him and his mission.

Once into the mission we’re quickly shown around the world and introduced to some of the main points in future Children of Titan novels. His missions is to basically capture someone who has run away. What he ends up finding is much darker than that.

It’s hard to write long-winded reviews of short stories – but just know, if you’re a fan of good science fiction, Bruno, or RC Bray – you’ll enjoy The Collector.

Quick Adventure

Not usually my genre, but every now and then, we have to let our imaginations run. Strong start to what seems like an engaging sci-fi thriller series! I like the setting and storyline of this prequel, and wonder how the protagonist, Malcolm Graves, will grow as a Collector and father. His professional duties and personal obligations as a father clash, putting his daughter in danger and his mission at further risk. It'd be interesting in seeing not only his missions take us through vivid, thrilling, action-packed adventures throughout the solar system, but also how he will manage to keep his daughter safe.

Good Short Story

It is a good enough short story to make me want to try a book by the writer. The narrator as always is the best.

Space Opera

not the same caliber as much of the older writers I've read, but this story was still entertaining. I look forward to listening to more from this writer.

It was awful

The narration was flat. The was boring. There was a lot of foul language, including the f-word. If you don’t like to hear swearing, this book is not for you.

Great Short

A great intro to Malcolm and sets this up perfectly for the children of titan series that has became so popular.
RC Bray perfectly suits the worn space hunter archetype and makes a great short or for those who want a taster before the titan series.

Awesome.

This was my first taste of Rhett C Bruno and I wasn't disappointed. I'm looking forward to listening to the rest of his work. As for R.C. Bray? The man is a rockstar.
