Publisher's Summary

The mob was gone (Pete thought), but Louie Galloway won't give up. He and Dewey have a price on their heads, and anyone else close to them is also in danger.

Pete decides to go to Chicago and hopefully turn the tables on Galloway and, maybe, even the mob, while working with Lawrence Forsythe, a Chicago PI, and Luca Barzizza of the Chicago PD.

Well, Pete, if you thought it got rough in Memphis last year, you ain't seen nothin' yet! When he swore to eliminate Galloway to put an end to this, did he really think Louie's home turf was the place to do it? But, that's not all. This is also home turf for the mob, and they have a price on Pete and Dewey's heads, too.

With the cats away, the mob is reestablishing its presence in Memphis again. If Pete and Dewey survive Chicago, what will they find when they get home? And what will they do about it?
