Publisher's Summary

In T L Swan’s steamy third installment of the Miles High Club, Kate’s hot new pen pal is a welcome distraction from her horrible boss. But nobody is as distracting as Elliot Miles...and he knows it.

My favorite hobby is infuriating Elliot Miles. Just the sight of my boss’s handsome face triggers my sarcasm. God knows how he earns his Casanova reputation—if a million women want him with his personality, what the heck am I doing wrong?

Disgusted with my love life, I join a dating app under a fake name. I start chatting to a man named Edgar. He’s not my type and lives on the other side of the world, but we hit off a friendship, laugh and confide in each other.

But lately things are getting weird at work. Elliot’s being...attentive. His eyes linger a little longer than they should, and there’s a heat behind them that I haven’t felt before. And then, in the shock of all shocks, he tells me that my vulnerability is appealing. But when was I vulnerable?

Horror dawns...Has my boss been reading my emails to Edgar?

Damn it, why did I use my work email?

Oh no, does he know what I really think of him? I’d rather die than ever admit it.

Or, even worse: is it possible that the man I loathe in real life is the man I’m falling for online?

Good storyline bad narrating

I normally love CJ Bloom, however, the poor ‘English’ accent is woeful. Couple this with the male narrator Ryan West , it’s almost unbearable. I persevered with the book because I enjoyed the other 2 books in the series and I also didn’t want to waste $15. What a shame.

Accents are all wrong!

The accents in this are all wrong and so distracting. The fake female English accent is terrible and the male almost has a southern or Texan twang when they are from New York and well traveled. The others in the series were great but this one is performed all wrong. Such a shame.

Jaw dropping

Following on from the previous book, this one struggled to capture my attention. Kate and Elliot characters weak and annoying at times, with every little supporting characters to keep it interesting. Ryan West's narration was also painfully slow. But I'm glad I stuck with it to the end because the story was beautiful told. Didn't even know I was taken on a journey until the destination was close.

For much of the story, it didn't feel like anything important was happening. Then BAM, all those little nothings including the introduction to Elliot's love of art in The Takeover, all wove into a swoon-worthy ending. As the 3rd book in the series, lower your expectations for this one but do pay attention throughout for a stunning finish.

a story of love and passion

Another great story from this author. narration is a bit hit and miss due to miss pronunciation eg: pom instead of palm.

Another amazing story

Honestly, I never read. But since starting this series, I cannot stop listening.
The storylines are always perfect. Fun to listen to, and I frequently laugh out loud.
Yes, the one thing I didn’t like in this audiobook is the accents. Cringe worthy. Usually love CI Bloom but not with this accent!

funny,sexy and nice plot twist

I love these books with the miles brothers in them. whilst there is probably too many similarities between the books they are extremely enjoyable, however the English accent was not even close!

3 times is not a charm

I didn't mind book 1 or 2 , nothing amazing but kept me engaged. This book has finished the series for me. The main issue apart from the massive holes in the story was the terrible narration, that so called English accent was so bad, no one talks like - Farncy - trying to be so posh it drove me nuts listening. Also who would get away with talking to the CEO the way she did and he hated her that much but never fired her, she was in a high position for a massive company but had no money. Guessing the 4th book will be held in London too, so its a big no for me if I have to listen to that pathetic excuse for an English accent again

Loved the story, not so much the narration

CJ Bloom did a great job in the previous Miles High books however her narration of Kate misses the mark due to the character being English and CJ's British accent being pretty bad. It may not be noticeable to some, but being English myself, I really struggled to listen to her chapters, especially in the start - cringing at so many of the pronunciations.

If I hadn't already paid for it rather than borrowing I probably would have DNF'd

Luckily, Ryan West's narration does earn the performance rating some redemption but not heaps as Elliot is supposed to be a New Yorker but sounds like he has a southern twang.

Great story as always from T L Swan, I have read the book previously and loved it. Could have definitely benefitted from a narrator who is better at the accent / is actually a Brit.
