Jackie and Pete King have lived in Dunmore for years, running one of the two local pubs in the sleepy little town. Money has been tight after the bushfires, and it’s about to get tighter if they can’t find a way to pay their suppliers to keep their business going and keep the bank from foreclosing on their property. So when Jackie receives a mysterious phone call offering them $100,000 to let someone bury a body on their land, the answer isn’t as simple as they thought it would be.

Very good read, highly recommend
This was such a good story from start to finish. It got me so frustrated with the husband for being so awkward but I won’t spoil as to why… short read but a good one. Highly recommend!

Loved it - couldn’t take my ears out
This was a wonderful read that had me gripped to the end. I loved the story and the characters which had me ripping through the chapters and ignoring my family until I finished it.
The narrator was excellent and very easy to understand and listen to. Will thoroughly recommend this to family and friends.

Great story and performance
Loved this escapist thriller that I listened to in a day. Sibylla Budd is an excellent narrator and I look forward to more of her work. Twisty story that I couldn’t put down.

Very enjoyable
Enjoyed the storyline, would have liked it to be longer. The narration was excellent, I wish Sibylla would do a lot more as she is very easy to listen to & plays the different characters well with only a slight change to her voice's inflection.

An enjoyable but uncomfortable listen
I enjoyed this story, it flowed well and the narration was excellent. You put yourself in the characters shoes and really felt for them and the hard decision- hence the uncomfortable comment!
