Publisher's Summary

Everyone in Bell Harbor thinks career-minded plastic surgeon Evelyn Rhoades needs a husband. Everyone, that is, except for Evelyn…sort of. Even if she did want a husband (which she doesn’t…most of the time), she’d never let something as intangible as fate determine who she marries. No, if she’s going to find someone to spend her life with, she’ll do it scientifically: With a carefully crafted list of criteria and an Internet dating site.

But when intoxicated, law-breaking Tyler Connelly crashes into her life by way of a stolen Jet Ski, unruly emotions defy common sense. Sure, he’s sexy, charming, and determined to win Evelyn’s affection, but all evidence points to him being the worst possible choice. He’s too young for her. Too irresponsible. Too underemployed. And, oh yeah, he’s her patient.

But Tyler knows firsthand how the best-laid plans can crumble under the weight of destiny. Now all he needs to do is to teach Evelyn that, in matters of the heart, love often supersedes logic.

Nice beach love story

This was a very typical love story that happens quite often. Women often have a requirements list if qualities they want their husband to be packaged with. However that is not always true love so it was refreshing to witness these characters be ok with true love instead of the status quo

Much better narration!

Typical love story plot. Okay for some mindless summer beach or mountain vacation reading/listening. The biggest difference between this book and book one of the series was a much better narrator. I would’ve quit it if it was the same narrator but Amy McFadden did a fabulous job.

love

love isn't always about money and money isn't always going to bring people happiness. This book is a perfect way to show that our standards can always be lowered and if we see people for who we are that's where true love comes in. a friend or your spouse that becomes your then that is the perfect medicine.

Eh..

So, yeah, Amy McFaddens performance was cute but I never connected to the male lead, Tyler. And, I skipped like 10 chapters because I was getting bored and just wanted to finish the book.

Nice summer time read

Good book to loose yourself & enjoy a light read. The audio version is a little high pitched but I liked the story line.

predictable but enjoyable

I don't usually listen to romance. Tracy does it well without being obscene or ridiculous. Light books to take you out of your world into the characters world..That's entertainment.

Great Romantic Comedy

Brogan will make you laugh and cringe and fall in love with her characters. McFadden does an excellent job with the audio performance. It is well paced and engaging. I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre.

A Charming Read

This was a nicely written story. A cosy read, something you just want to relax down to with a steaming cup of coffee. I enjoyed it.
My only criticism is I found the Narrator to be a little too hard/aggressive. I just feel it could have been delivered with a 'softer' tone.
