Gorgeous!

Absolutely loved revisiting Beatrix Potter's works, and appreciating them as an adult. Andrew Scott was wonderful as narrator, beautiful voice bringing his own magic to some of the most beloved stories.

Almost Perfect

I got this even though I have another Beatrix Potter from Audible, which is also good, because it was Andrew Scott narrating. It does not disappoint. I will confess, firstly, that we have not yet listened to all the stories, but most of them. The Beatrix Potter stories themselves, of course, are lovely. If you're unfamiliar, they're enchanting, wholesome, sometimes silly stories about the British countryside and the animals (and occasionally people) who live there. Andrew Scott's narration is fabulous. He gives it a signature, almost creepy but not, whispery, delicate reading. His reading of Squirrel Nutkin is particularly good. My only complaint is that his voice is so variant that the volume gets very extreme and makes it a bit hard to not continually adjust. Sometimes the reading gets too quiet and then right after that too loud, and I'll have to adjust the volume. Just an FYI. It's a great audiobook.

Brilliant

It's Beatrix Potter what could go wrong. The performance was brilliant as well. I liked the little interview at the end.

Very relaxing

The narrators voice is fantastic , as is the way he puts his own slant in the stories. Perfect bedtime listening taking me back to my childhood .

Beautiful and Nostalgic

Andrew just brings these stories to life. His reading is wonderful and to hear Dame Patricia Routledge introducing the stories. I had hours of nostalgia being taken back to childhood and as an adult is seeing new morals in the tales

Godawful Introduction

Why have they included this stupid introduction? My kids want to listen to stories about animals, not Maggie Smith banging on about what she thinks about Beatrix potter, these are cute animal stories (albeit in archaic language) not a treatise on the influence of beatrix potter on a british actor (who never read these as a child!) what idiot thought this would be an appropriate combination?

Narrated beautifully. My 2 year old is entranced by Andrew Scott's reading. Will listen again and again.

Bored by Hyacinth Bucket

My children do not wish to listen to Patricia droning on before their story begins. I’m going to have to work out how to return this. What a bore.

Beautifully read. Apparently I need to write fifteen words to constitute a review. Haiku Review?
