Author didn't do the whole job.
Author does an excellent job of breaking down everything about Bitcoin and much of cryptocurrency as a whole. in the beginning of the book there's a rather excellent breakdown of the various functions of banks.
however, in this audiobook, we are continually instructed to refer to image 2.1 or image 4.4, it doesn't matter if they're supplied with the PDF or not. It's no longer strictly an audiobook if I keep having to look up resources, which is rather clumsy to do on the audible app to begin with. it might take a paragraph, but it's usually not too difficult to convey the essential points of a pictorial graph or diagram using only regular sentences. this was not done, you're referred to an image, then the author continues with "as you can see, " but I can't, because I'm driving.
Even without looking at the images, you can usually get the gist of what he's trying to convey, but being referred to an image that you're not looking at every few minutes becomes extremely irritating.

Reads like a college textbook
Although the information in this book was relevant to bitcoin, I lost a lot of interest in the text because it was overly complex. It read like an old professor in lecture reading off something you couldn't care for.
I believe this is perhaps better read as a textbook vs an audiobook. The reader would benefit from highlighting and making notes in this kind of book.
The performance could have used a little more enthusiasm, but i suppose that comes with the text.
