Publisher's Summary
One key, one door, one man, one leap.
Alison Wescot inherited the antique store the day her mother died. It was nothing she wanted, but she couldn't part with it. The antiques inside were all she had left of her mother. She thought she knew every piece in the store, until one day she discovered a box with a key inside, along with a letter from her mother. A key to a door she never knew existed.
Lucas Azure is the leader of the kingdom's elite guard, a group of men whose sole purpose was to protect their territory and people. The youngest of the king's four children, he was also the deadliest. The men in his group followed him faithfully, never questioning his orders. When Alison appeared, he knew he had to protect her at all costs.
The day Alison walked through the door, her recurring dream became a reality. The man who always remained a mystery was standing before her. There were dragons flying overhead and a castle in the distance. She was now in the Azure Kingdom.

Decent Fantasy
Thought the narration was really good, she did a good job with the male characters as well as giving a strong sense of who main character is. This is kinda not my typical fantasy listen, but was OK. Story was pretty typical and straight froward, no real twist or turns. Main character was likable, the rest of the cast was fair.

So much potential in this fantasy romance...
The story starts so strong and intriguing with loss, suspense, adventure, a brand new realm to explore. I really enjoyed the story but the beginning indicates that this would be more of an adventure and it turns out to be more of a fantasy romance.
I wanted to know more about the Azure kingdom. The characters were not as well developed as I expected them. Because of how strong the first few chapters were, I expected more detailed story & Character development. There is so much potential and I truly enjoyed this book. I’m hoping the next book will have more descriptions and lots of details. There is so much left unexplored.
The narration was well done and brought the story to life.
If you like a light fantasy romance with main characters being fated to each other and a bit of adventure you should give this book a try. I’m looking forward to the next book. The concept is excellent and with more character development and descriptions of the Azure kingdom this could be a great fantasy series.
I’m so glad there are no major cliffhangers.

Captivating Fantasy Romance!
This is the first book in The Iridescent Realm Series, a Fantasy Romance. I loved it! Alison and Lucas's story is sweet, original, fast-paced, and entertaining. They share an instant attraction and a strong chemistry. Elliott, Addison, and Oliver are great supporting characters, and I would love to know more about them. The storyline is captivating, and the ending is beautiful. The scenery is well described. Sarah Puckett did a fantastic job with the narration. Now, I can't wait to listen to the next installment in the Series, The Pine Forest, Addison and Oliver's story. I love Michelle Dare's writing. She never disappoints.

3.5 Stars
The best way for me to describe this book is light fantasy. The storyline and characters were intriguing but there is way too much “fluff” in this book, meaning too much in the way of descriptions and characters thoughts. I personally like to see more character interaction as the story flows. Other than that, it was fun to listen to. I enjoyed the facts about the skeleton key and I liked Alison and Luke. Sarah Puckett did an excellent job with the narration! 🎧AudiobookObsession🎧

Amazing World-Building
Title: The Azure Kingdom Author: Michelle Dare Format: Audio Narrator: Sarah Puckett Genre: Fantasy romance, royalty Standalone: yes Part of a Series: Book 1 of The Iridescent Realm POV: Alison (mostly) Steam Level: slow burn to steamy but not too explicit 5/5 I don’t read a lot of fantasy and can be a bit picky with it. But I loved this story and the world that Michelle Dare created. The Azure Kingdom sets up this world brilliantly and I hope to see more if Alison and Luke’s HEA in the future I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obsession. The Iridescent Realm
The Azure Kingdom (The Iridescent Realm, Book 1) drew me in with its synopsis. I absolutely loved the thesis, very intriguing. A magical key and mystical realm. A vividly exemplified story. The plot pulls you in & captures your mind. I'm looking forward to what's next in this fantasy realm series. Narator Sarah Puckett did a super craft narrating this audio. Easily distinctable characters and wonderful performances with male vocals too. Her tone is perfect.

Fantasy Romance
The Azure Kingdom by Michelle Dare is a fantasy romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett. This is the first book in The Iridescent Realm Series and follows Alison and Lucas love story. This is the first fantasy book of Michelle’s that I have read and it took me a bit to get into it. But overall it was a good insta-love story. I cannot wait to see how the series progresses in the next book The Pine Forest that will follow Oliver and Addison’s love story. Sarah did a great job on the narration. She always knows how to bring a story to life. AudiobookObsession AudiobookObsessionReviewer

Lucas and Ali!
After the death of her mother Ali finds herself managing the family antique store when she comes across a box which includes a letter and a key. She finds out information about her mother and her past which leads her on an adventure to a different realm where she meets Lucas. Lucas is a prince who is determined to safeguard the realm from outsiders and those who wish to do them harm. He feels an immediate drawn to Ali but finding out she is the daughter of his family’s enemy changes everything. He doesn’t think she means harm when she becomes a pawn between his father and her father will he be able to protect the woman he loves? There is no denying the chemistry and connection between Lucas and Ali but dealing with the secrets and their families may be the biggest challenge of all. Being that there was only one narrator I thought she did a great job at giving each character their own identity. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

Really dreamy
Totally adored this book. Honestly Michelle Dare doesn't disappoint with her writing. I started and simply couldn't put it down. Really wish I have a skeleton key...if only.. This story has the right amount of, love, a tiny bit of angst, and great secondary characters.(I LOVE Tali and Storm) The narration was good and easy to listen, but this wasn't one of the best narration of Sarah Puckett to be honest, but it's awesome to listen how much she has improved. I love her voice. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession 🎧

The Iridescent Realm Book One
The Iridescent Realm Book One. Alison Wescot is working in the shop she inherited from her mother when an older couple finds a hidden compartment in one of the cabinets. Alison opens the box inside to find a key and a tale of another realm and her father. With nothing to hold her to this realm, Alison decides to take the leap and go to the other world. When she arrives, she finds out that her father is known as a ruthless king who killed the best friend of the man she has been dreaming about for years. Now, Alison has to figure out who her enemies and friends truly are before she is traded as a war prisoner. Her instincts tell her that Lucas Azure is her only way forward, even though her father is Lucas's mortal enemy. If you're looking for a story about another world, one with danger tempered by love, this is the book for you. 🎧AudiobookObsession
