Publisher's Summary

One key, one door, one man, one leap.

Alison Wescot inherited the antique store the day her mother died. It was nothing she wanted, but she couldn't part with it. The antiques inside were all she had left of her mother. She thought she knew every piece in the store, until one day she discovered a box with a key inside, along with a letter from her mother. A key to a door she never knew existed.

Lucas Azure is the leader of the kingdom's elite guard, a group of men whose sole purpose was to protect their territory and people. The youngest of the king's four children, he was also the deadliest. The men in his group followed him faithfully, never questioning his orders. When Alison appeared, he knew he had to protect her at all costs.

The day Alison walked through the door, her recurring dream became a reality. The man who always remained a mystery was standing before her. There were dragons flying overhead and a castle in the distance. She was now in the Azure Kingdom.

Decent Fantasy

Thought the narration was really good, she did a good job with the male characters as well as giving a strong sense of who main character is. This is kinda not my typical fantasy listen, but was OK. Story was pretty typical and straight froward, no real twist or turns. Main character was likable, the rest of the cast was fair.

So much potential in this fantasy romance...

The story starts so strong and intriguing with loss, suspense, adventure, a brand new realm to explore. I really enjoyed the story but the beginning indicates that this would be more of an adventure and it turns out to be more of a fantasy romance.

I wanted to know more about the Azure kingdom. The characters were not as well developed as I expected them. Because of how strong the first few chapters were, I expected more detailed story & Character development. There is so much potential and I truly enjoyed this book. I’m hoping the next book will have more descriptions and lots of details. There is so much left unexplored.

The narration was well done and brought the story to life.

If you like a light fantasy romance with main characters being fated to each other and a bit of adventure you should give this book a try. I’m looking forward to the next book. The concept is excellent and with more character development and descriptions of the Azure kingdom this could be a great fantasy series.

I’m so glad there are no major cliffhangers.

Interesting Concept

This story has me a bit hesitant but also has me hoping the next book recaptures some of the magic of the beginning of this book. This had a great narration.

Loved it!

I usually don’t read romance but I loved the romance in this book and the fantasy kingdom with dragons that she got to explore. The writer did a great job of making us care about the character and their love.

Filthy Language

Did not finish it. It probably would have been good if the author had cleaned it up.

Super cool premise!

The narrator does a great job. She gives a clear performance and fits the characters well. I like the tone of her voice and she does a good job of expressing emotion.

Loved the whole premise! A magical skeleton key that takes you to an alternate world! Having dreams about a mystery guy that you feel a strong pull towards and feels so real! Those type of things are some of my favorite scenarios to read about. Plus, add in chivalrous, sexy men and dragons, and I’m loving it! Alison finds a note and a key from her deceased mom that talks about how the magical key will bring her to a different world and the father Alison never met. Alison is in for an adventure! After using the key, she is found by her dream man, but things don’t exactly go smoothly. Loved their connection; it’s so sweet! Lucas is a total sweetie! Alison is a tough cookie with a sweet heart too. Totally entertaining story!! Really looking forward to reading the next book! This one has a satisfying end, so I’m excited to read about more characters in this world.

Pretty good fantasy book

3.5 stars. This book was pretty good. I like that the story took place in a different realm and I really like that there is a magical key that basically chooses who can pass realms. The downside of this book was the relationship was awkward and cheesy. I mean I didn’t hate it but it was just so uncomfortable to listen to at times.

Lovely inter-realm story

Narrator does amazing love the tone changes and the voice all around. The story is great show some past but keeps going forward. The main lady finds her way to a new realm or so she thinks it is new. Dragons are involved who doesn't love dragons??? Great story and great flow. #AudioBookObsession

I Wish This Was a Real Place

Imagine, if you will, for one second you had a dream and it was so vivid, it scared you. In this dream, you saw a man. You can’t talk to him or touch him, but you feel an immediate connection to him and him to you. Imagine, this is a recurring dream you have nightly. That is Alison Wescot’s reality. Every night Alison falls asleep dreaming of this handsome young man, not knowing he does the same. One day at work she discovers a note from her mother in an antique dresser. It tells of adventure and a family Alison never knew she had, however, what the letter didn’t tell her was the man she dreamed of; not only was he the son of her father’s enemy, he dreamed of her too! Accompanying the letter is a key and it holds all the answers! Alison has a choice to make: Stay in Colorado and continue leading a life she’s not excited about or find her sense of adventure as her mother did and use the key. How is this even a choice?!

What an interesting story! I was hooked from the first page. It was engaging and I was fully invested in what happened to each character. Sarah Puckett was brilliant at bringing each character to life! I look forward to what happens next!

The Iridescent Realm Book One

The Iridescent Realm Book One.

Alison Wescot is working in the shop she inherited from her mother when an older couple finds a hidden compartment in one of the cabinets. Alison opens the box inside to find a key and a tale of another realm and her father. With nothing to hold her to this realm, Alison decides to take the leap and go to the other world. When she arrives, she finds out that her father is known as a ruthless king who killed the best friend of the man she has been dreaming about for years. Now, Alison has to figure out who her enemies and friends truly are before she is traded as a war prisoner. Her instincts tell her that Lucas Azure is her only way forward, even though her father is Lucas's mortal enemy.

If you're looking for a story about another world, one with danger tempered by love, this is the book for you.

PNR

Starts off amazing, however after the first few chapters it loses it and becomes more sex than story.

Narration is awesome!!!!!

Holy moly, I love Sarah Puckett. The narration gave this book a whole other dimension to it. I was totally hooked from the beginning. The characters were multidimensional and I loved the premise. The book was well written, and the narration just brought it to that other level. Great story.
