He is the son of the Coach of the Houston NFL team who's top star is Tiller a wide receiver. He is gay, the first out gay NFL player in the league and he is in love with Mickey. Coach is not keen! Their relationship revolves around football until Tiller is injured and takes a break with a visit to Astor Valley. There we meet a number of characters we have met in past Astor Valley stories. The growing relationship and the skirting around the 'boyfriend in public' problem is well handled and very sweet.
The third is Sweet as Honey, a full length novel which picks up characters we met in previous novels and focuses on them. Truman is a sweet nerdy guy with a history in Aster Valley that has meant that he has been constantly bullied for years. Sam is a friend of Mikey from the previous story, who has come to visit Aster Valley where he meets Truman on the side of the road as he is being chased by a bully. The story focusses on the bullying and the history behind it and we see Truman come to trust Sam as he helps to resolve Trumans ongoing problems. Their relationship is very sweet. Great story.
The final is a short facet called the Water Boy which is basically a fantasy short about Mikey pretending to be the waterboy and Tiller falling for him. It is very hot and a really fast 15min listen. Well worth it when in this bundle and not available anywhere else that can be recorded in Goodreads.
As always, Michael Dean lend his great talent to the telling of all of these stories..
