Ananna of the Tanarau abandons ship when her parents try to marry her off to an allying pirate clan. But that only prompts the scorned clan to send an assassin after her. Not a complete waste of time, I guess it could be an ok book for something to listen to in the background.

The narrator sounds like she's trying to be a 10 year old girl which is at odds with the character who has a love interest.

So first of all you did abstract details at the start, but as I listened longer, I noticed it started to go quicker and to many things to imagine. It was hard because these had almost no detail. Keep the detail balanced.
