About this listen
The Ashes weaves in and out between reality and fantasy, between the past, the present and another place in time altogether. Hollywood gets lost in his daydream as he drifts through another dimension to make sense of his friend’s sudden death. Moments in the hospital mingle with dark terror in a far off desert as The Cowboy battles the terrible Fire Serpent in a vain attempt to save his friend The Marlboro Man’s life. In some senses the story is autobiographical, in others it is fictional fantasy.
The Ashes is an interesting tale about loss, frustration, personal growth and the realization that life is precious and tomorrow is never guaranteed.
