About this listen

New Yorker Ginger Colby, half witch, half werewolf, all curves, has made an immediate and lasting impression on the Alpha of Blue Moon County. Unfortunately, she did it by publicly insulting him - she turned down the smug, sexy werewolf sheriff when he asked her to dance with him at the local honky-tonk. Now the furious Alpha of her pack is ordering her to make amends with Sheriff Sexy - or risk igniting a war between the Red Wolves and the Gray. The Sheriff's idea of re-establishing his dominance includes a bare bottom spanking, making her work for him as his new assistant, and flirting with her outrageously. But is he flirting with her just to get revenge for humiliating him - or does he want something more? And can a liberated big city werewolf find happiness with a dominant small town shifter? With the mysterious disappearance of an archeology professor, and a jealous Alpha female stirring up trouble...Ginger may not have a chance to find out!

I like the story but the last few chapters seemed rushed… I also agree that the narrator makes the characters sound quite old.

I enjoyed the story and the characters, though not the narration

Narrator made characters sound like older women rather than mid 20s

I really liked this book, quick read or listen in my case. It made me laugh out loud in parts which made a wonderful change in a book like this.

The first half was fun and light, the banter between the two made me giggle and scoff with enjoyment. Then chapter 7 came out of no where and blew my mind. Hot damn.

holy moly

Unfortunately I wasn’t a fan of the narrator, she did a pretty good job with different voices but I felt like she sounded too old for the characters. Sadly I feel like it ruined it for me, the story was ok but very far from the authors other books.

Wished for more

Ginger Colby goes to Blue Moon County after a nasty break up to get away and there she meets Sheriff Loch Armstrong in a bar and refuses to dance with him believing she is not his type and he is a man whore anyway. What follows is a sometimes amusing ride along a bumpy path filled with deceit, murder, betrayal and jealousy. An interesting listen and worth the effort. I recommend it.

Really Good

overall a decent story, it did feel a little bit rushed with only having her POV. could've been improved with having his POV to see the conflicting feelings on both side.
narrator was decent enough but the females characters lacked changes in voice which made it a little hard to keep track.

short and sweet?
