Summary
Romance writer Sarah Fleetwood is obsessed with the Fleetwood Flowers, five pairs of gold earrings that constitute a long-lost family treasure. According to the legend, shortly before her death, Emelina Fleetwood buried the earrings on her property and drew a map to the location. Now Sarah is determined to embark on a quest to find the flowers.
Ex-adventurer Gideon Trace doesn't want anything to do with Sarah and her quest for the Flowers, a fact he has repeatedly made clear ever since she first contacted him. Obviously his discouragement wasn't strong enough because now Sarah is standing at his front door insisting that he is just the man to lead her treasure hunt.
A woman who believes in happy endings is about to share a cozy cabin in the mountains with a man who is large, cold-eyed, and dangerous. What could possibly go wrong?

BOOK REVIEW
Love rereading these entertaining stories.
The Pirate
The Adventurer
The Cowboy
I started off with the Cowboy many years ago not knowing it was a trilogy. Though not interlinked story wise it is still better to read them in order.
I have owned and reread these three books so many times since then.
They are just a lovely read that makes me relax and chill out.
Wonderful characters and great storyline’s that take you along for the ride.
Each book has a totally different plot which keeps these fresh, no matter how many times I reread them.
Three female friends each find love with three alpha men.
2020 - Have bought the eBook version too.
A fun read giving us the second of the three friends stories.
Apart from Sarah’s naiveté, she calls it intuition, this was a fun and engaging read.
We get a not so lost treasure, a baddie from the past and a stubborn hero.
I can understand Gideon being perplexed by Sarah. As well as being optimistically naive, she was a bit hot and cold with her behaviour. But her and her intuition was both funny and annoying.
Love the ending with Gideon re-hiding the earrings and the story of the flowers.
Enjoyable in audible. Good narration.
