Publisher's Summary

Wrong number. Right guy?

Once upon a time, Maggie Cooper lived for adventure. Jumping out of planes was child’s play. Now she can’t even work up the nerve to ask out her coworker. For a bit of self-therapy, she begins to text her recently deceased mother’s phone - the only problem is that the number has been reassigned and for weeks she’s been unknowingly texting a stranger her deepest thoughts and feelings. There have also been some not-so-deep texts, like the ones about her appreciation for her coworker’s butt.

When Chase Beckett, the unsuspecting stranger who has more in common with Maggie than he’d like to admit, texts back, Maggie is beyond mortified. But message after message and night after night, Maggie realizes that Chase’s wit, charm, and advice are exactly what the doctor ordered. Is it enough, though, to get her back up in the sky? And what about her heart? Can she risk taking a leap of faith for the man on the other end of her accidental texts?

Such a Good Read!

Becky Monson's "The Accidental Text" is surprisingly good! I didn't know what I was getting into when I picked this up on Audible but I believe Monson's does a fantastic job at writing about heartache, friendship, maturity and love. This simple story brings you laughter, tears and the perfect ending. I am eager to get my hands on more Monson novels.

Wonderful

It was a wonderful story about people grieving in their own ways and finding love. I cried and laughed with characters. The narrator was great and really made the story come to life. If I could I would have given this story 6 stars.

Sweet Clean Romance

The Accidental Text by Becky Monson
Narrated by Holly Warren

⭐⭐⭐⭐ New to me, author and narrator. This book was sweet and heart-warming. I didn't know what to expect. I enjoyed the clean romance aspect - Exactly what I was in the mood for. The two leads had wonderful chemistry. I will look for more books from this author.

Holly Warren's narration was well done. She had good variation in voice for different characters.

Can't get over some of the pronunciation

loving the book so far, but having a bit of trouble getting over the way the narrator pronounces some words. I'm from Arizona and NO ONE calls Tempe "Tem-pay" it's pronounced " Tem-pee" as one of the biggest cities in Arizona, that isn't something you should be saying wrong.
Also less of an issue is the way she pronounces the Korean word for grandma, halmeoni. She says it very very Americanized. I wouldn't expect everyone to know how to say it, but it feels like a thing she should have checked the pronunciation of before narrating. She says it "Hay-min-nee" it's actually more like "hah-moh-ne"
Both of these are getting really hard to ignore. I really can't get past the way she says Tempe..... I'll still finish the book and I know it'll be great, it's just sad to not be able to enjoy it as much as I know I could.

Slow burn, nothing steamy.

Cute enough though. Weird how many details about Phoenix were in it, esp since I'm from there. Wish they hooked up sooner.
