Publisher's Summary

Some say the great mystery of how one can live in two worlds at once died with Thomas Hunter many years ago. Still others that the gateway to that greater reality was and is only the stuff of dreams. They are wrong.

In the small town of Eden, Utah, a blind girl named Rachelle Matthews is about to find out just how wrong. When a procedure meant to restore Rachelle's sight goes awry, she begins to dream of another world so real that she wonders if Earth might be only a dream experienced when she falls asleep in that reality. Who is a simple blind girl to have such strange and fantastic dreams?

She's the prophesied one who must find and recover five ancient seals - in both worlds - before powerful enemies destroy her. If Rachelle succeeds in her quest, peace will reign. If she fails, both worlds will forever be locked in darkness. So begins a two-volume saga of high stakes and a mind-bending quest to find an ancient path that will save humanity. The clock is ticking; the end rushes forward. Ready? Set? Dream.

A welcome return

Ted Dekker never disappoints and this is not an exception. The 49th Mystic returns us to the world created in The Circle and within it's pages peals back incredibly deep truths that only can be truly taught through parable. Beautiful.

Amazing Story

This book is very well read and performed. In this book Ted Dekker dives back into the world of the Circle Series and takes you on a wild ride. This story is amazing and having it be an extension of his previous series is exciting and won't let you down. I can't recommend this story enough.

5 Stars.

It is okay

First, they should have made the narrator listen to the first 3 books. She kept mispronounce names. So, that was irksome.

Second, the story had too much “tell” and not enough “show”. You show your audience what you mean by the actions and words of the characters. When the story was progressing the book was good. When he stopped telling us the story and told us what we should think, was boring. I thought this was going to be a stand-alone book, but there will be at least 1 more. I like the author’s work a lot, but this was just to heavy handed on “you should think this as a reader”

started good, then turned into a Bible lesson

the story started strong, but soon the whole thing became a Bible study and then finished in nothing more than Bible verses being cited. If I wanted to read the Bible I would. I'm sorry I wasted my time and money on this one

Shouldn't have bought both books at the same time.

I am normally a Ted Dekker fan, having read and loved the Circle series, but this book didn't measure up to the others. One reviewer said that "it started out great and turned into a Bible lesson." I agree and I didn't care much for the narrator. Pace was too slow and "preachy". I bought the second book at the same timeas this one and now I wish I hadn't. Good thing I have a few credits saved up for something different.

Something missing....

I'm a huge Dekker fan and find myself constantly looking for the missing pieces which always turn up another one of his works. While I find this frustrating at times, I have to admit its genius on his part because here I am purchasing another book....If you read Ted Dekker, you have to read all of Ted Dekker.

A great book, certainly left wanting more

I love Ted Dekker books, this is up there with his best. I prefer the circle trilogy but this was new. Seems to tie in with a few other books...
