Publisher's Summary

USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn brings more humor and heart with the third novel of her Getting Lucky series: a story about breaking curses and laying your heart on the line.

What happens when your secret crush isn’t so secret anymore?

I’ve had feelings for Eve Roberts for as long as I can remember, but because she also happens to be the twin sister of my best friend, Eric, I’ve never acted on my feelings and long ago resigned myself to keeping my crush under wraps.

But after a terrible falling-out with Eric involving a failed restaurant venture and plenty of blame on both sides, I’m back in Port Snow without my best friend and without any direction. But can you guess who’s here? Eve. And my attraction to her is as strong as ever.

As old feelings rush back, Eve and I find ourselves pulled together, whether we like it or not. Lines are crossed, secrets are kept, and we soon discover that the difference between love and friendship may not be so black and white, after all.

Everyone wants that secret crush to love them back...but will I be ready when she does?

Here's to Second Chances

This was a great story about second chances at life and at love. Reid and Eve find their way back to each despite the bad blood and history between them, but secrets and misplaced loyalty get in the way and threaten their happiness. Reese Covington and William LeRoy continue their magic as the narrators in this book. They have become a welcome listen in this series.

I was laughing out loud

I've been enjoying this series and That Secret Crush was no exception. I loved getting to know Reid and Eve and was rooting for them to turn their crushes into true love. I swear this book was funnier than the prior books in the series. Reid would just say the most outrageous things and Eve gave just as much. And the text conversations between the Knightly siblings.... my goodness, I was laughing out loud while listening. The performances by William LeRoy and Reese Covington were entertaining. They used just the right amount of emotion and humor in their narration to bring the book alive. I've been enjoying their performances and wouldn't hesitate to listen to more from either of them in the future. Well done!

No Thanks

Who's from Maine? Not these voice actors. There's not even an attempt. Beyond that they only flubbed a line once, no big deal there. I rarely actively root for the protagonist to dump her worthless and emotionally inconsistent boyfriend but I truly did here. I kept hoping he'd fall out of his boat in a storm and drown, then Eve could find happiness with someone good. That's harsh but he really is one of the worst male romantic interests I've ever seen. If you like spineless morons with large members Reid is for you. Eve is pretty great. She's smart, driven but she just keeps putting up with the men in her life treating her like she doesn't have feelings or an opinion and the author treats her like she doesn't have options. She always forgives them without them actually changing their behavior but she's the only redeemable aspect of this book. Also, if you're going to make a written book into an audiobook and then write more naughty scenes than you are going to write actual story maybe get a phone sex operator or something to narrate. I started to feel bad for the narrators, so bad I fast forwarded.

There should be a warning....

Could have been a an enjoyable story...without the ubiquitous use of the words “cock,” “pussy,” G-D, F**k, etc. It made me cringe so many times. Maybe there are people who actually do speak and think this way, but no one I would care to spend any time with. I wonder if the author is really a teenage boy... If there were F-bomb warnings for books, this one would have a red flag.

Hot and kinky

I loved how the story started with them going right into the sex. I love how the book made a female character who wasn't afraid to open to her needs.

Great so far.....

I cannot wait for Brigg's story. This series has made me laugh cry and it's just all-around great. I highly recommend anyone to read this series. Meghan Quinn has captured unique and interesting characters a beautiful small town feel that makes me want to arrive in Maine and think you have a small town like Snow Port.

What is it about these brothers?

Each story is more swoon worthy than the other. I love that we get to see the other Knightly brothers while learning about Reid and Eve's love story. Reid was his own obstacle, and being able to see that is truly difficult. And I got so hungry with all the dishes mentioned in this book, LOL. The narration is amazing, you feel the personality of each character come through.
