Summary

What could be worse than an arranged marriage to a vampire prince?

When Luna is sold into marriage to the Prince of Darkness on her twenty-first birthday, she thinks she knows what to expect. Arranged marriages happen all the time, right? Wrong. No one could have prepared her for the reality of being married to the vampire prince.

Ever since the day he was made, Sebastian has been living according to Queen Marguerite's rules. After all, he's only alive because of her. When she orders him to marry and bind himself to Luna, a human hailing a neighboring kingdom, he has no choice. He agrees to the marriage but never expects to feel anything for her.

When their Binding Ceremony goes awry, and they are magically tethered, everything is thrown into upheaval. Unable to leave each other's presence, they must learn to live with each other—or die.

Tethered is an arranged marriage high fantasy romance filled with forced proximity, magical bindings, vampires, and world-building. It can be enjoyed on its own or alongside The Ithenmyr Chronicles.

This was a very hard book to get through. After great recommendations I was disappointed with how long and drawn out the story was. The female character came across as whinging and I have no understanding of how the male character falls for her....I persisted and the last 30 minutes had the most action of the entire book. One of few that I won't continue with the others of the series.

A slow, slow story

I was sucked into the story early on, excited for the potential. Unfortunately the story didn’t really go anywhere, a lot of interesting plot items were set up but the characters decided to “unpack that later” and never did. The author repeated a lot of descriptions and flipped between modern language and a more traditional use of language. There was a major plot hole that ruined the end of the end of the book, I had already purchased book two so I will listen to book 2 to see if maybe the issues with the plot hole are addressed or not. It’s also generally pg13, if the author took it to adult content it would have been more successful…. Maybe. Reads a little like a Wattpad story, but I don’t regret listening and remain hopeful for the second book.

Shows promise but the writing is weak

I think the plot and character development of this story was very basic and could have been better explored within the book. The love story started so early in the book that it was somewhat predictable.

Basic vampire love story

I really wanted to love this book. However It’s spicy level is non existent, there are really only two characters that we get to know and the story did not get exciting until the last few chapters. I will get the second book in the hopes that the plot thickens and it picks up the pace. But if that one is as slow as this one I will run the risk of not finishing.

Nothing really happens, it’s just a lot of talking

I’m surprised with all the negative reviews. Obviously everyone has different tastes. However I found this book fun. It’s not going to win any literary awards but if you go in expecting just a good time Romantasy, I don’t think you’ll be let down. Also confused on all the hate towards the FMC. I found her funny, smart and not whiny at all.
The narrators were perfect.

This was a fun time. The narrators were great
