Editorial Reviews

Domination, submission, jealousy, betrayal, unmet (and then met) sexual desires, a loveless marriage, and love at first sight are all features of best-selling erotic romance writer Laurann Dohner’s tale of a desperate woman who allows herself to be bound to one Zorn Warrior only to fall, forbiddenly, passionately in love with another - who himself is bound to a woman who despises him. Expressed with tones ranging from deepest desire to darkest despair, Tempting Rever is the story of how many obstacles a man and a woman will overcome to embrace every part of their mutual love.

Publisher's Summary

Brenda spent four years trapped in an unhappy marriage. She’s so desperate to start a new life somewhere safe that she’s agreed to go to another planet with a handsome alien stranger. When he’s killed, she finds herself in the home of a Zorn warrior willing to protect her until the fallen warrior’s brother arrives to claim her.

Brenda never believed in love at first sight until she gazed into the gorgeous blue eyes of Argis Rever. He’s tall, dark, sexy... the kind of guy she’s always dreamed of finding - and already bound to another human woman. She could have lived with letting the man of her dreams slip through her fingers, except he isn’t happy - the horrid woman doesn’t even want him, and will never love him.

Brenda has lost a lot in her life but she’s not willing to lose the one chance at finding happiness with a man she’s falling in love with. She’s more than ready to start tempting Rever into finding his own happiness... with her.

To Find a Zorn Warrior

I don’t know how you could not love this book.

Brenda escapes Earth because she is in a love less marriage. The original Zorn warrior she was to be bound to dies before they can reach Zorn. According to Zorn law, Brenda is given to his brother to be bound. But he is off world at the moment. Rever decides to offer Brenda his protection until her intended bound can come to collect her. This isn’t an issue because Rever is already bound. But the human Rever is bound to is an annoying, rude woman. Rever is soon regretting because upon meeting Brenda he is instantly wishing he was bound to her instead of the woman he has now.

The attraction between Rever and Brenda is erotic and romantic. The sex scenes are HOT HOT HOT!!!! I think I have enjoyed this book the best so far. I guess because the romance was sweet. It was like a forbidden fruit both wanted to enjoy but knew it was impossible to own. The sex scenes weren’t just thrown into the book but were placed within the story and help to enhance the story. So good.

Horrible

The female main character in this book was horrible. She was very stupid. She was weak, ignorant and lacked common sense. I skipped ahead so much that I got frustrated and quit.

Sexiest Zorn!

I think Rever is my favorite of the Zorn boys. He picked the wrong woman from Earth and is living a miserable existence with the hateful, bitchy, slutty woman. The heroine, Brenda, was coming to Zorn with another warrior to be his bound when he was killed when the Colis attacked Argenon’s ship. Until her prospective bounds brother comes from space to claim her she’s to be staying at Rever’s House. This is a problem because they are both instantly attracted to each other. Is there a way for them to be together? Narration was great.

5 Tempting Rever Stars

Ok I totally loved this book. Here is why, we really get to learn more about Zorn and what they are like. I know we get a lot of that in books one and two but this book really shows you how “ h – or – ne – y” Zorn men really are.

And let me tell you that alley scene freaking Sizzle I tell you what. That was H – O – T!

Rever really got himself in to a pickle and not a good one. So when Brenda come’s into the works you can see he knew it. Even more than he already did.

I really liked the interaction between Brenda and just about everyone. You think she is this meek little human but boy she is fierce! I loved that.

Simone Lewis is fabulous with this series! Her voice is perfect I like the different tone’s she uses.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

I just don’t know

This series is getting trickier and trickier. I enjoy the stories, but I also get super annoyed. Ok so in this book Rever is agrees to house Brenda until the brother of the man who originally took her from earth can come and claim her. The man who took her was killed in the attack to the ship on the way there. Rever is bound to a human woman who is terrible. She is like no person I have ever met. She isn’t even conniving or manipulative. She just complains and acts like a spoiled little rich girl who was never told no. But that wouldn’t make sense for her to agree to go with an alien if she was spoiled and rich on earth. What the heck were her motivations to go. If she was a social climber and somehow knew Rever was the equivalent of a prince moments after meeting him, then I could see her maybe agreeing to go with him for status on his planet. But if that was the case why did she treat him so poorly and jeopardize her place. I will tell you why. Her behavior was written for the sole purpose of making the reader feel okay about Rever and Brenda getting together. But here is where I think the author has sort of backed herself into a corner with all the rules on this planet. Bound can’t be unbound. But wait, apparently they can if someone else is willing to challenge for them? What? If this was the case why didn’t Rever put out a notice he was willing to let her go to any who was willing to challenge for her. The planet is full of men wanting human women. It really bothered me that the human women have been telling the zorn men that they come from a monogamous planet. But Brenda had no problem throwing herself at Rever and asking him to take her despite him being the equivalent of married. Also, was the scene with the house help really necessary? I can tell you I would not feel comfortable having a woman in my house who I watched pleasure my husband, friend or no, and regardless of whether it happened before we were together. Nope. I would not be ok with that. So this is why I’m torn. There are so many things about this book that burned me up but I couldn’t help from being invested and route for them to be together in the end. I really liked Rever. He was a great man. He was kind and honorable. He fought his attraction to Brenda for a full 24 hours before she wouldn’t stop asking him to just get inside her!! 🙄 so yeah that part wasn’t so honorable. But I really liked him. And I liked how fiercely he loved Brenda. I don’t know if I will continue this series. Maybe I will revisit. But it sounds like the next book will be similar to this one. With the whole having a bound mate already, but falling for a human woman.

Enjoyable

So far, this is my favorite book in the series; even though I like them all. Love all the emotions one experiences, drama, comedy, love, and sex. Looking forward to listening to the next book after free preview. Good series so far!

Tempting Rever

I consider myself a modern woman but I still like alien male dominated love stories. And this one is great. They kept stealing Brenda back and forth so many times I lost count. There was a good amount of action in this one. Never a dull moment.

I can't feel it.

It was truly a great book. I've read all the Zorn warrior books. this one my favorite. I love the way it was written. not so much on who was reading. it was clear to hear, I jus wish that the person reading aloud, had more feeling to the words, and the characters actions and reactions. and not sound like she's reading a script. I jus cant feel it.
