Had the potential to be so much more

Despite a colourful cast and a storyline with good bones, i just wish it were meatier. Too much time was wasted in Potia's head. During a time when ladies as young as 17 were married off, running households and/or birthing 'heirs', Portia often seemed childish for her age, particularly towards the latter chapters. I really liked Bryght but felt he got a bum wrap for all the good he did. Lack of complexity was a missed opportunity.
