About this listen
Three things my mother acquired when she became engaged:
- A brand new Tiffany's ring;
- A lavish home on Heartbreak Hill;
- Three privileged stepsons.
The last thing I expected was to fall for one of them, least of all Thayer Ames. Beautiful, brooding, and untouchable.
I knew it was a bad idea. He warned me himself. But he was a thunderstorm, and I never could resist the rain. It was perfect...until it wasn't.
One night was all it took for our world to crumble, leaving only secrets and lies between us. Now, I have to face him again, but the boy I used to know has become the man who loves to hate me.
Contains mature themes.

The revelations were way too drawn out for me, but I'm impatient. The back and forth between Shane and Thayer was realistic but I wish they had shown Shane meeting her father and that be a whole new shock wave inducing revelation.
Romance and mystery.

Female narration was a bit slow at first but then got better so that was good

I didn't like the female narrator that much at first but she grew on me.
I thought the male narrator was quite good.
The less good (definitely not bad) - I would have preferred more from the male perspective. Some of the spice got repetitive and felt like overkill. I also didn't feel for the main male character much despite what he had been through. I didn't feel that the relationship between the main mail character's brother and the main female character was ever clear and that was annoying.
