Inspired by a true story.

People are brought into our lives for many reasons. Over time, we find out who is meant to be a temporary acquaintance and who will be there for a lifetime.

Easton Crawford put his modeling career before his marriage until it was ending in divorce. Years later, he is finally learning how to be the father his daughter needs him to be. He's not looking for someone to step into the mother role - just nightly casual hook-ups.

When his best friend convinces him that a good way to meet single women is to go on a singles cruise, he finds more than just a one-night stand.

At age 13, Brooke Bradley became an adult, raising her younger sister while her mother continually ignored her parenting responsibilities. Since then, Brooke has continued to take care of the people in her life, including her deadbeat boyfriend, Jared.

For Brooke's 30th birthday, her best friend surprises her with a cruise but fails to mention it's a singles cruise. When Brooke meets Easton, the one man willing to be her constant, will she finally find the courage to leave Jared?

Easton knows that Brooke is someone who is meant to be in his life forever, but when a health scare threatens to change everything, Brooke and Easton are faced with unanswered questions and unspoken fears. Are Brooke and Easton only meant to be temporary acquaintances or are they brought into each other lives for a lifetime?

I’m a sucker for a reformed bad boy...

There are some things I definitely appreciated about the book; first Easton is wonderful with his Daughter. He is active in her life and puts her first. Easton’s parents seem like the best kind of people. Attentive, loving and supportive of their son and grandchild. And they are completely open to accepting Brooke. Nicole and Avery are a bit self indulgent but overall I found them to be an interesting supporting cast to the more serious Brooke and Easton.

I desperately wanted to connect with Brooke and Easton but it didn’t happen for me. There was something about the mix of insta love and naïveté that I would expect from someone in their early 20s that didn’t ring true for people in their early 30s. People who have had adult responsibilities thrust on them at an early age. There was also a scene between Brooke and her loser gamer boyfriend where consent was dubious at best. It really threw me.

Overall I would continue on with the series out of curiosity to see where it goes.

Tattooed Dots

This was my first book by Kimberly Knight. The storyline was great, and I loved the best friends meeting best friends aspect. I did feel like the parts that were probably meant to be dramatic or the big road bumps in the book were a bit bland. it felt like mostly smooth sailing even when it shouldn't have been. That being said, It's the perfect book to come back and re-read when you've read something overly emotional or action packed and need a getaway.

The audio performance by Josh Logan and Eva Eastman was very well done. I will be looking for their other narrations in the future.

Brooke has just turned 30 and her best friend Nicole gives her a trip on a singles cruise as a birthday present. The only problem with that is Brooke has a boyfriend but she decides the trip will be fun regardless. Easton is a single dad, has been raising his daughter alone for the last 5 years after his ex was killed in a car accident. Eastons best friend & business partner Avery decides that it's time for them both to get a break from their bar and possibly meet "the one" on a singles cruise. Within an hour of being on the cruise Easton runs into Brooke who introduces Nicole to Avery. That is how they spend the rest of the time on the cruise but roadblocks come up because of Brooke current-almost ex boyfriends, the disadvantage of having a long distance relationship, and health problems that arise.

Loved It!

What a story! Kimberly Knight wrote a very emotional book & I loved it. Easton is going through a divorce after putting his modeling career ahead of his marriage. Brooke has been forced to grow up fast & taking care of her sister when their mom wasn't being a mom. Brooke is also dating a loser named Jared. When Brooke's friend sends her on a cruise for her birthday she doesn't think too much about it. Easton's friend also sends him on a singles cruise. Brooke & Easton meet on the cruise & think that this should just be a hook-up. When Easton starts to realize that Brooke is going to be in his life a lot more, is he ready for that? Throw in a health scare with Brooke & what do they really mean to each other? This story was very emotional & I loved it. the narration was well done too. I can't wait to listen & read the next book in the series.

Great narration!

I want to start off by saying I enjoyed the audiobook considerably and the performances were very well done!

Brooke has been dating Jared for years, living together and feeling as if they are married yet wondering why he hasn't asked the question. When she meets Easton, he helps her realize how crappy Jared is and she starts to see her relationship for what it really is, she realizes she needs to figure out what is best for her and her sanity.

Easton has no desire to settle down, he's been there and done that before, he isn't interested in a repeat performance. He's content in his bachelor ways. After meeting Brooke he realizes just how much he's been missing and realizes he isn't happy with his lifestyle and it isn't good for his daughter.

There are a few critiques I have for this book, the story was good and flowed nicely. However, there were a few corny/cheesy parts that seemed like the author was trying too hard, and the sex scenes seemed too forced. They were too vulgar for me and some of the things that Easton said didn’t seem realistic, it seemed more like something Brooke would say about Easton instead of something a man would say about himself.

I loved Easton and I enjoyed getting his side of the story as well. I was surprised by the illness, I did not see that coming at all. It hit home for me (similar situation). That’s such a scary situation and such a horrible feeling. You just dread every doctor appointment and every time the phone rings you jump, afraid the doctor is calling with bad news. All in all I enjoyed this book very much, the sex scenes were the only thing keeping me from giving a full 5 stars. Very beautiful story nonetheless!

The premise is good.

3.5 Stars. The story is good. The writing is a skeleton of which could be an amazing book. But it reads and listens like a friend complaining about her life; in an over the top manner. So, it is real. I find the medical pieces offensive; clearly the author or character lacks basic understanding of the medical field, yet judges them harshly. With refinement, this would be great. The story would be a worthwhile hallmark romance movie. #AudiobookObsession

An enjoyable story

I struggled a little at first with this one as I just couldn’t get into it but I am pleased to say that it quickly turned around for me. The narrators Josh Logan and Eva Eastman did a great job in bringing the story to life; all in all a good story that was enjoyable to listen too and I am looking forward to reading/listening to more in this series.

Although insta-love is not really my cup of tea, I enjoyed the story more as the relationship between Easton and Brooke developed. To say life can knock you for six in the blink of an eye is an understatement which was proven with Tattooed Dots.

There are several heavy issues touched on and which are at the heart of Tattooed Dots and I felt that the author did a really good job handling them with compassion and realism.

I loved the relationship that Easton has with his daughter and his parents and it was heartwarming to listen to the relationship between Brooke and Cheyenne develop as the story went forward.

Avery and Nicole were great supporting characters and I look forward to reading/hearing their story at a future date.

Great Book!

I was drawn in to this story! I loved single dad and bad boy stories, this is the best of both worlds. I like that he was struggling with what ti do because he was putting his daughter first which he should, but then he also wanted to be there for the woman he liked/loved. Those are real struggles. Narrators were amazing.

Perfect Listen

I think Josh Logan and Eva Eastman did a good job at bringing these characters to life I found them very easy to listen to.

The story was a sweet insta-love that really developed Easton's and Brooke's relationship through the trials that Brooke was going through. I loved the changes in Easton after having met Brooke and how realized what he needed to do different in his life. I would have loved a little more depth in the characters however this story had a great flow to it.

lovely story to listen to

This was the first book by Kimberly Knight and it was a sweet and easy to listen to story. With the premise of the story and how it started I wasn't sure I would like Easton but I did.

Listening to this story on Audible enhanced my enjoyment of this tale. It was well narrated and the voices really sold the tale, drawing you in and holding your attention whilst you listen. They really brought all the emotions to life and you felt it all along with the characters.

Kimberly Knight did well with this story. She gave us characters that we become invested in with Brooke and Easton as the main characters but also Nicole and Avery as secondary characters. Your heart will also be stolen by Easton's daughter Cheyenne.

I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in the this tale

Great story

Really enjoyed this story. New author for me and I loved her writing style and characters. I thought that Easton was going to be a jerk but he turned out to be such a sweetheart. Brooke is such a strong and independent woman, always putting others before herself. I loved how they just kind of clicked when they met and how their relationship developed.
The narrators did a good job with bringing these characters to life.

Singles cruse anyone

This a cute Romance. Two bar owners from New York take a singles cruse. On that adventure they end up finding two best friends. One is dating another loser at home while the other is looking for the one. When they get back home will the two relationships workout or will they move on? I live this story and Kimberly Knights did an amazing job. I loved the dual narration as-well.

wow what a story ! if you read or listen to any book this year make this it !
Brooke has not had an easy life but she grabs it and makes it her own , shes a fighter but her biggest fight is yet to arrive , can she beat it ?
once you get nearer the end of the book the title makes more sense and it's actually perfect in its telling
the narrators were brilliant and I went straight out and got the next 2 books in the series on audible too

Loved it

This story is very well narrated with the dual narrators! I absolutely loved listening to them and having the story come to life in my head. It has its steamy moments, but also moments when you want to cry. You will want to start book two shortly after finishing one, but this story does not have a cliffhanger.

Easton and Brooke!

Easton married his high school sweetheart however he wasn’t ready for marriage and was a terrible husband. Just when the divorce was about to become final his wife tragically passed away and he finds himself a single father to their five year old daughter Cheyenne who is the light of his life. Five years later he is still a playboy but he now owns a bar with his best friend Avery and they decide to go on a single’s cruise which is where he meets Brooke.

When Brooke’s irresponsible mother was more interested in her latest man rather than Brooke or her sister she was the one who raised her sister. She has been involved in a relationship with her boyfriend Jared however she is the one who supports them. When her best friend Nicole wants to go on a single’s cruise she convinces and pays for Brooke to come with her.

When Nicole and Avery become close Brooke and Easton start spending time together as well. Brooke was determined to be faithful to her boyfriend but that doesn’t stop her attraction to Easton. For the first time in his life Easton wants to spend more than one night with a woman and that woman is Brooke. When Brooke returns home and her world is turned upside down in more ways than one will Easton be able to convince Brooke that his playboy days are behind him and he can be trusted to be by her side through the good and the bad?

This is an emotional story about love, family and relationships. With the way the book began I wasn’t sure if Easton could redeem himself but over the course of the story he showed the man he truly is. 🎧AudiobookObsession
