Publisher's Summary

Sometimes falling in love means going through hell.

Nicola Hart grew up under the heels of her older brother and his sexy best friend, Cash Garrison. Years of ignoring her spark with Cash has transformed their friendship into a slow burning sizzle. One night with him could ruin everything. Or it could be more than she ever dreamed. They play. They flirt. But they haven't crossed the line because too much is at stake. Family. Friendship. And the deepest kind of love that she'd have to be crazy to walk away from.

She's his best friend's little sister. The definition of hands off. Cash has tried to ignore her for years. Those innocent eyes and her smile that screams kiss-me-if-you-dare... Instead, he's looked at every pretty little thing who's crossed his path, all to ignore the girl he seems destined to want. But when his hard partying ways get old and everyone at school is interested in Nicola, it's time to stake a claim. To make Nicola his girl, no matter the risks, and hold the hand of the one he really loves.

Sweet Beginning

How it all began. I enjoyed this story of young love... and the ending was okay because I could immediately go on to the next book. Despite it picking up years later, I wouldn't want to read/ listen to the series without first listening to this book.

Sweet Girl is just the start to an amazing story!

Sweet Girl is the Prequel to the second book in Cristin Harber's Titan series, Garrison's Creed. I am new to Cristin Harber as an author, but her talents have blown me away. I absolutely fell in love with the characters she creates in this series and could not wait to see what would happen next to them.

In this story, you meet Nicola Hart and Cash Garrison. Nicola is the little sister to Cash's best friend; therefore completely off limits. He has always had a thing for her, but has kept it to himself, knowing the consequences. When she finally admits her feelings towards him all bets are off. She just might be what he has been waiting for his entire life.

The chemistry between these two characters is combustible. Cristin develops the plot in such a way you can't help but be suck in! Just when you think you can predict what will happen next, I guarantee you will be blown away by the twists and turns Cristin has in store for you. It left me immediately one-clicking on the next two books in the series to find out what would happen next!!!

PS- The audio version is fantastic. Jeffrey Kafer does an incredible job narrating this incredible story. He only enhances the incredible work that Cristin Harber has written. I am new to him as a narrator as well and I would highly consider listening to his books in the future as well.

Sweet Girl

Where does Sweet Girl rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I Loved Jeffrey Kafer's voice! He separated each character in such a believable way. I enjoyed listening to the tone of his voice as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cash, of course! He was such a strong "leading man". I loved his cowboy hat wearing, don't give a flip attitude. When he finally admitted that he loved Nic and always had everything he did was so romantic. I love stories with a lot of romance.

Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?

Cash. He sounded just as I would have imagined Cash to sound. Jeffrey did such a great job on all the voices.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. It was definitely a hard story to put down. There was a lot of suspense with keeping their romance a secret from and their friends and family. Also, when the bad guys got involved it was nail bitting!

Any additional comments?

I absolutely HATE that this book was a cliffhanger. If I had known before I purchased this book I would not have bought it. As a reader I feel very cheated with cliffhanger books! I try very hard to NOT buy any book that has a cliffhanger story line. Very disappointed with that aspect of this book/purchase.

Wow! Not what I expected!

Overall opinion: 4.75

This book starts out as a college romance and slowly morphs into and action romance. I will not give anything away but if you like both genres, this book has an ending that will floor you.

Prelude to a Titan thriller

Worth the quick listen to Cash and Nicola’s origin story. Be warned, however, this book serves only to set the stage for the real romance in Garrison’s Creed, book two in the Titan alpha male romance series.

It is definitely “sweet” as the title suggests, or bittersweet, as the case may be... but that will make for greater stakes when you get to the conflict and resolution in Garrison’s Creed.

So good

I listened to it after it’s sequel and almost liked it better that way, like going back and hearing their beginning. I don’t usually like non crime romances so I skipped it but knowing where the couple ends up later made it a great listen. It had me laughing, grinning, crying at different points and the romance scenes were sweet too. This is the prequel to Garrisons Creed, listening to Garrisons Creed first didn’t take anything away from the story or the “need to know what’s next” feeling as the sequel takes place a decade later on totally different terms

So good!

OMG! I love a book that makes me laugh and cry. It's a cliffhanger, but I highly recommend it. I've just started on this series...this title being the 2nd one. I'll definitely be continuing! Steamy and romantic.

Pretty good

This book should be read in conjunction with Garrison’s Creed.

An okay example of the young adult genre, Sweet Girl sets up the romance in the second book.

A heartbreaking love story

The author captured young love at its richest.
I loved the story, but the lump in my throat hurts! I’ve read the Titan series, and I’m getting ready for the second read, but hadn’t read the prequel. (Great?) addition to the series.

So sweet

Any additional comments?

I listened to Winter’s Heat before this one and so, already knew Cash. After Sweet Girl, his character now has a little more flesh. The story is sweet and mostly predictable. Nicola’s choice at the end, however is unexpected.
I recommend tissues when you get to the last part of the story.
