Publisher's Summary

Sometimes falling in love means going through hell.

Nicola Hart grew up under the heels of her older brother and his sexy best friend, Cash Garrison. Years of ignoring her spark with Cash has transformed their friendship into a slow burning sizzle. One night with him could ruin everything. Or it could be more than she ever dreamed. They play. They flirt. But they haven't crossed the line because too much is at stake. Family. Friendship. And the deepest kind of love that she'd have to be crazy to walk away from.

She's his best friend's little sister. The definition of hands off. Cash has tried to ignore her for years. Those innocent eyes and her smile that screams kiss-me-if-you-dare... Instead, he's looked at every pretty little thing who's crossed his path, all to ignore the girl he seems destined to want. But when his hard partying ways get old and everyone at school is interested in Nicola, it's time to stake a claim. To make Nicola his girl, no matter the risks, and hold the hand of the one he really loves.

Sweet Beginning

How it all began. I enjoyed this story of young love... and the ending was okay because I could immediately go on to the next book. Despite it picking up years later, I wouldn't want to read/ listen to the series without first listening to this book.

Sweet Girl is just the start to an amazing story!

Sweet Girl is the Prequel to the second book in Cristin Harber's Titan series, Garrison's Creed. I am new to Cristin Harber as an author, but her talents have blown me away. I absolutely fell in love with the characters she creates in this series and could not wait to see what would happen next to them.

In this story, you meet Nicola Hart and Cash Garrison. Nicola is the little sister to Cash's best friend; therefore completely off limits. He has always had a thing for her, but has kept it to himself, knowing the consequences. When she finally admits her feelings towards him all bets are off. She just might be what he has been waiting for his entire life.

The chemistry between these two characters is combustible. Cristin develops the plot in such a way you can't help but be suck in! Just when you think you can predict what will happen next, I guarantee you will be blown away by the twists and turns Cristin has in store for you. It left me immediately one-clicking on the next two books in the series to find out what would happen next!!!

PS- The audio version is fantastic. Jeffrey Kafer does an incredible job narrating this incredible story. He only enhances the incredible work that Cristin Harber has written. I am new to him as a narrator as well and I would highly consider listening to his books in the future as well.

Sweet Girl

Where does Sweet Girl rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I Loved Jeffrey Kafer's voice! He separated each character in such a believable way. I enjoyed listening to the tone of his voice as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cash, of course! He was such a strong "leading man". I loved his cowboy hat wearing, don't give a flip attitude. When he finally admitted that he loved Nic and always had everything he did was so romantic. I love stories with a lot of romance.

Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer – was your favorite?

Cash. He sounded just as I would have imagined Cash to sound. Jeffrey did such a great job on all the voices.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. It was definitely a hard story to put down. There was a lot of suspense with keeping their romance a secret from and their friends and family. Also, when the bad guys got involved it was nail bitting!

Any additional comments?

I absolutely HATE that this book was a cliffhanger. If I had known before I purchased this book I would not have bought it. As a reader I feel very cheated with cliffhanger books! I try very hard to NOT buy any book that has a cliffhanger story line. Very disappointed with that aspect of this book/purchase.

Overly wordy, repetitive prequel for Cash Garrison’s story

This story starts out as a teen/young adult story of a college romance. It needed major editing and would have been better as the first few chapters of the next book. The ending of the prequel was exciting and clearly necessary to set the scene for the next book but heartbreaking as a cliffhanger for this story. The character development and story background serves not only as background for Cash but also for Roman.
Jeffrey Katerina does a great job in the male roles, especially Cash, but the narration would have benefited from a female narrator as well since his voice is a bit to harsh for the numerous female roles and because the story is told from both Nic and Cash’s points of view.

Will definitely want to hear the rest of their story and how they get to their overdue HEA. Not sure about rest of series -though it helps that many are in the Romance Package. Hopefully the author will become better at editing.

Great read

I couldn't stop once I started. You really get attached to the characters in the series and once you get into the story line, nothing else matters. I'm excited to see how these two love birds come back together.

Great story!

The storyline flowed smoothly. The characters and the world building will keep you coming back for more. I teared up in this book even though I knew to expect the ending due to reading the synopsis of the next book. I normally skip novellas and read them later but this is a must read in the series.
Narration was great.

A cliffhanger!

No idea that this was a cliffhanger and it’s irritating to find this out towards the end.

Huge Cliffhanger!

I really enjoy Cristin Harder’s stories and this one has so much angst and emotion! The hero and heroine have known each other all their lives. She is his best friend’s younger sister. When we meet them in this book they are in college, still see each other often but secretly in love with the other without them knowing it. When they finally decide on a future together, tragedy steps in. I know I’m going to buy the next audiobook in this series right now. Narration was excellent.

Great outside of cliffhanger ending!

Wish this hadn't been a novella. It exploited the older brother's best friend trope and low key secret romance and was so well done, I'm a little upset it ended in a cliffhanger that wasn't a happy ending(Im guessing to get to know the characters in a full length, but I'm not sure it'll interest me like this book did). It had a total NA vibe, was kinda slut shamey in some parts though, sometimes you have to stomach things for a good story. The narrator was on point and Nicola and Cash were so cute together I wanted to throw up!

So sweet

Any additional comments?

I listened to Winter’s Heat before this one and so, already knew Cash. After Sweet Girl, his character now has a little more flesh. The story is sweet and mostly predictable. Nicola’s choice at the end, however is unexpected.
I recommend tissues when you get to the last part of the story.
