Publisher's Summary

Surrender, white people! After 400 years of white supremacy in America, a reckoning is here. Time to listen up, look history in the face, and surrender unjust privilege. These are the terms of peace - and they are unconditional. Hope you have a sense of humor, because this is going to sting.

The legendary activist/comedian and author of the “hilarious yet soul-shaking” (Black Enterprise) best seller How Not to Get Shot returns to address a nation on the edge of civil war.

After centuries of oppressing others, white people are in for a surprise: You’re about to be a minority yourself. Yes, the face of America is getting a lot browner - and a reckoning is coming. Black and brown folk are not going to take a back seat anymore. It’s time to lay down your unjust privileges and sue for peace while the getting’s still good. Lucky for America, D.L. Hughley has a plan.

On the eve of America becoming a majority-minority nation, Hughley warns, the only way for America to move forward peacefully is if whites face their history, put aside all their visions of superiority, and open up their institutions so they benefit everyone in this nation.

But we can still have fun with this, right?

Surrender, White People! hilariously holds America accountable for its wrongs and offers his satirical terms for reparations and reconciliation.

But it’s not all bad news, white folks. The upside is that if you put D.L.’s plan into effect, you can finally get black people to stop talking about oppression, discrimination, and their place in America. That’s something we can get behind.

Awesome

I know there is comedy in there but there is a lot of truth and facts that can’t continue to be ignored! Great job! Must read for anyone who wants to laugh and understand the struggles of African Americans! Greatly narrated as well!

Overall fun truthful read

Great points Regarding American history.and very funny at times. I could’ve done without the cussing and the reference to Jesus Christ as imaginary. He could’ve kept it religious beliefs to myself. Outside of that, I enjoyed the book. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying

Informative and humorous!

A straightforward and humorous discussion about race relations in the United States. Not designed to change the mind of a Trump supporter or Hitler devotee but there's no help for their kind anyway. It is a good book for white folks that may not be comfortable with discussing race because it adds a little humor to some of the obvious inequalities black people face. A nice touch that the audio is read by DL Hughley himself

Very educational and funny!

This book taught me so much and was full of interesting facts! In true DL fashion, there was plenty of comedy and cussin', which made it even more enjoyable...

One Star was one too many

Read this and you’ll know why America is divided and our Black brothers and sisters have been lied to by Democrats for 90 years...read my book, “The Bell Tolls for Thee, America” (How Democrats are destroying our country) and you’ll be given the opportunity to know the Truth!
