Example two: Asher Lock, a god at the Academy. Not literally...well, who knows for sure. He certainly acts the part, as do all of his minions who worship him.

Asher drives her crazy, because apparently snarly, gorgeous, and arrogant is her thing, and despite their mutual dislike, sparks fly between them. The more they’re thrown together, the more Asher is determined to figure out what’s been blocking her abilities.

Until the moment the truth is revealed, and they find out nothing in this supernatural world is what they thought.

Well written and narrated but I wasn't excited by this book. I don't know if I've overdone it on supernatural or if it was just this book. Either way, I appreciate why people like it.

This was a pretty awesome book to listen to. The timeline of the story is almost a whole year, but it does end on a cliffhanger. The cliffhanger does encourage you to read the next book and you may be doing it now and not reading this review but it doesn't end in the middle of a scene, where the immediate next thing is left to be mentioned in the next book, instead leaving you with an ending that you will want to keep reading, but one that in the timeline isn't supposed to happen until a week later. I have really enjoyed the story and the narration of this audiobook. I always love listening to Vanessa Moyen and this was no exception. If you have read the blurb and think you will likthis book then I would definitely recommend it to you. I hope you decide to read/listen to it. Enjoy!

I throughly enjoyed listening, it’s follows a nice pace in which you can easy keep up and enjoy. Definitely recommend listening!!

I have read this book but it's not enough for me I have to listen to it as well it's not only because I loved the story but the narrator is Vanessa Moyen omg I loved her she is perfect as Maddie and she can do guys too no problem. she is a very talented person. Ok I can't wait for book 2 and I hope it's soon I wanna see what happens to Maddie when she goes to Atlantis, is she their saviour or their downfall?? oohh I can't wait.

I was able to predict some of the plot but not enough to ruin the story, there were still enouh twist and turns to keep me interested and evensurprise me.

I definitely recommend this book but would advise to be 15+ since there are 2 particular scenes for an older audience.

This story was an awesome original storyline for sci-fi/fantasy, it was far enough removed from teen to be good for adults and i love the plot and characters, plus the narrator. My one small gripe is I just found a few sections describing the sex just seemed really out of place given the tone of the rest of the book.
