Raised as an orphan and exploited by Adam, a fake faith healer, Jory Smith doesn’t understand much about his ability to heal people by absorbing their sickness into himself. When hellhound bounty hunter Malpheus (Mal) Pelle is hired to track down Jory who has barely escaped Adam with his life, he thinks Jory is just another self soul-sucking incubus. But as Mal gets to know Jory, he begins to appreciate Jory’s kind soul and his tasty baked goods! I REALLY liked this supernatural romance, especially the world building - there were lots of interesting ideas all packaged well. There were a lot of main and supporting characters but they were all clearly portrayed so I had no trouble keeping track of them. Adam and Jory were both decent guys, especially for demons, in fact it was refreshing to find that most of the demons were good people. Best of all, US voice actor Noel Harrison did a great job on the audiobook (currently free on the Audible Plus catalogue)!

Strays by a.j. Thomas. This was a great read. I loved how the author put smut in there but didn't go to full on it instead focusing on the story which was enthralling

This was quite wholesome with a decent plot. The world and characters are interesting but some of them could have been fleshed out a bit more.

The narrator had a good tone and pronunciation. However, not a lot of variation with different voices so sometimes I got confused on who was talking.

Overall I enjoyed this enough that I will definitely be checking out other books by this author!
