Outstanding
I’m still reeling. This book should probably come with a plethora of trigger warnings but I’m glad it didn’t as I may not have read it and I’m so glad I did.
Amazing characters, extraordinary storyline and impressive handling of some very dark and disturbing concepts. What a thrilling ride!

Charming Sally Diamond
Sally Diamond is a complicated human but her story was beautifully revealed by Liz Nugent. Loved this book!

Loved this story but it was grim
I loved this story as it was slow to develop and then it took off. Some parts are very grim but are not described in too much detail. What I did not like was the very mangled pronunciation of Maori. I am a New Zealand Maori and hearing this hurt my ears.

Utterly compelling
A page turner with a level of authenticity rarely encountered. And an ending so haunting it will stay with me forever. This book will touch your soul. Capped off by a flawless performance. Read it.

The ending - wow
This was an incredible story, The ending was so so unpredictable , I just feel compassion. The plot twists got to me real hard , so many things to think about.

A well researched, authentic, page turner. One of the best to come out of Ireland lately (and that is saying something as most Irish literary works are excellent).
