About this listen

Five years after Emmanuel's first appearance, his teachings ignite a cultural upheaval in America.

Black churches flourish as they embrace his message of love and unity, drawing multiracial congregations and leading many people to abandon traditional white denominations. Emmanuel continues to appear spontaneously in small towns across the country, spreading his doctrine before vanishing as mysteriously as he arrived. His presence and the acceptance of his teachings provoke anxiety among white church leaders and politicians. They fear that if Emmanuel's influence grows, it will lead to widespread demands for the government to end its discriminatory practices against Black and Brown communities.

Behind the scenes, a covert faction within the U.S. government, determined to prevent this shift in power dynamics, conspires to stifle Emmanuel's reach. This dark force is relentless, willing to employ any means necessary to suppress the spread of his teachings. They recognize Emmanuel as a divine figure—God in human form—and their desperation intensifies as they witness his continued appearances and the growing unrest among those who cling to traditional racial hierarchies.

Despite these efforts, Emmanuel's message spreads like wildfire. White churchgoers increasingly question their leaders' resistance to change and leave in droves to join Black congregations. This mass exodus leaves white denominations struggling for relevance and control. Meanwhile, the secret government faction escalates its tactics, planting false narratives and manipulating public perception in an attempt to discredit Emmanuel.
