Summary

Jules van der Meer... He's somebody I shouldn't want, someone I can't have.

The forbidden fruit. The desire not to be indulged in. He's wealthy, successful, important... everything I'm not.

I'm half his age. Immature and desperate.

It's what they all say—the men in the night with the fancy clothes and the shiny cars, with enough money to make me do whatever they please.

But him... well, he looks at me like I'm the answer to his prayers, a diamond in the rough. He doesn't realize how wrong he is, though.

I'm poison—putrid and vile. I'll seep into his pores, wrap around his bones, and destroy whatever light he has left until he's just like me...

Nothing but storm clouds and devastation.

Storm Clouds and Devastation is book two in the Hidden Affairs standalone MM series. This book features a significant age gap and touches on heavy issues such as mental illness.

Quite a depressing story. Triggers galore for the wrong person. Emotionally charged, with a hard won HEA. In places I wasn’t convinced of the MCs comparability. But put that aside for the story and I could enjoy it.

Very emotional trauma

This book was worth reading. It contains themes of mental health and abuse both physically and mentally. This may be a book of fiction but it portays what is actually happening in some parts of society at this very time and I am truly saddened. Story is good to read, not only as it highlights matters that should not be shoved under the rug but it also highlights that help is available from many sources, that hope is possible and also highlights love is possible.

Deals with Dark situations

I didn't know Teddy was going to narrate this book 2 in the series. But I'm glad he did, I did like the first book but the Camden voice was hard to listen to. But TH just makes a book an easy listen. This does contain some struggles that some if not half of today's society do struggle with. Some things are really happening in the world and it's sad 😔

I see Narrator TH and I click,,,, and then listen 💯💯💯

It is well written authentic stories of Jules and Bodhi but so heartbreaking sad at times too 💔 check triggers. Many themes mental health rep, suicidal, age gap relationship, the abuse, the trauma and the rebuilding, love and strength. And characters coming together. I read these books out of order in series but ok. Narration amazing !

what a story heartbreak, love and strength

I was in tears both in sadness and joy. What a beautiful story. The friendship between Bodie and his roommates and the love he has for his best fiends dad Jules is so powerful even when he doesn’t realise it all. Narrators are brilliant. I love Teddy and Liam in all their work.

I loved this story.
