Publisher's Summary

Stephanie Michelakakis worked and sacrificed for her position as a lieutenant in the Coalition. She was on track to become the first woman ever accepted into a Royal Guard, specifically King Jotham's Royal Guard. Then, a life-altering injury shattered her dreams. Now, she must figure out how to move on with her life.

Nicholas Deffand was the youngest male ever named as the captain of King Jotham's Royal Guard. He served and protected his king to the exclusion of everything else. But now, he's found a woman who not only understood what his job entailed but his dedication to it as well.

These two dedicated people never expected to find love. Will they be strong enough to make it work, or will their relationship be another sacrifice they must make?

Love the sound effects.

Like all books in this series all the characters have different voices and accents. The sound effects are awesome and really bring the audio to life. I wish all audio books were like this! 👍🏻

really wanted to like this

i was looking forward to this novle as i liked the main characters in the previous books. but this really just felt like part 2 of the previous book. like the author didn't have enough story so they just ended the previous book earlier than intended so it could be used as filler for this one. i found myself getting annoyed at how little the 'main characters' were actually in this. also the love story wasnt developed as in the previous books it was just hey your hot we live together now. a big deal is made out of them being life mates but thats never explained beyond 'its like sole mates' even in the previous books. the issues the plot goes into are interesting and well done you just have to over look how the character's got there. the narration was excellent and oh my got i loved the main male voice.
